Emma Joy Bunny lives at Ribbonwood Cottage

Every once in awhile  dreams come to live in my real life.  I've been working for quite some time putting all my thoughts and dreams into patterns. They have been inside me for some time, alive...but not quite real in real life. I have spent time drawing, and then using those drawings to make patterns, to cut fabric out, and create something that has been real in my heart for years.
For the last several years making and creating doll bedding has been my full time business at Ribbonwood Cottage Etsy. But deep inside I have wanted to do so much more. I love fabric, and I love putting together fabrics in quilts, and accessories for the home.

I have quite a collection of vintage doll furniture that I use to store doll bedding, little quilts and pillows. I just love how it looks. My hubby delegated 1 room years ago and now I have 2 for storing, fabrics, sewing supplies, a work area, and then I have a complete area of finished doll items that are for sale. Over 400 items.
I love designing, creating and sewing, and love my full time business doing all those things.
It just seemed the right time to create a 'Line' so to speak.
So I have!
I have created a Line of Bunnies patterns, Bunny household items, bedding, clothing and accessories.
After my granddaughter was born, and then my grandson, it just seemed perfect to create something that was heartfelt and a legacy to leave them.

I've just released The Emma Joy Bunny Doll pattern. It is a PDF and can be instantly downloaded. It comes with photos and simple directions to make her and her outfit you see here.
All of my patterns are simple with beginner sewers in mind. I learned to sew when I was a little girl, and learned to Machine sew in third grade. I learned the skill when I was young, and then it became a Joy to sew as I grew.

I have also incorporated several doll quilts for those people who just want to make something simple but pretty like a doll quilt. Simple patterns + Pretty Fabrics= Happy Hearts.

What is wonderful to me is that my mind is filled with hundreds of ideas for Emma and her future. She has a large family, and they will come to visit, and have endless outfits to try on while they spend the night with her. Sleepovers are not a problem with all the bedding she has folded away in the cabinets and closets.

While I have been in business for some time, this is a new venture and new direction for me. I love the challenge. I have been educating myself daily so that I am able to rise to the occasion on the computer when challenges come up.
It just seems if I want my dreams to come true, I need to do the work behind the scenes to help them along.
Here is Emma's first Spring outfit. She is ready to come visit you!

Blessings to You all,
Debbie
