Fall at the Farm

When I met my husband he was by far the most handsome thing on the college campus I had seen....we dated and then got married...that was 33 years ago...I am still MADly in love with him...most of the time mad.
Bwahahaha...I did not know at the time he was a farmer tried and true.

Years later we are raising cattle, sheep, pigs, chickens, pigeons, ducks, heritage turkeys, geese....

if it has a feather we probably own one....

Every farmer's wife needs aprons...and yes I wear them to protect my clothes...
ON our patio I am fixing it up for company in the coming month...everyone will be home.

We were at a consignment store in Palm Springs and found these pumpkin soup bowls...our nearest shopping...we live in a VERY RURAL area of S. California...there isn't even a stop sign in our town....
it is so small the Town Hall is above Dairy Queen! Hahaha....

Glad you came by for a visit!
Blessings,
Debbie

My latest design-White Christmas Decor in miniature

Hello sweet friends, I have missed visiting with you. I lurk on your blogs and see what is happening, but have not commented much. My mother has been in the hospital for a few weeks, and just got home, thank goodness. We are all happier when she is doing well.

In the meantime, life has been going on at a very fast pace. I am going to be a grandmother in early spring...a little girl! Yay...With our two sons at home, we are visiting more, eating dinner together (priceless!) and they are making me watch all the current movies. Haha...and my daughter in love is putting in orders for baby things she would like to have made....I am happy!
Joining with Beverly at Blog HOp!

Above is my latest project...a white Christmas in miniature. I have pulled out all the stops.
I looked through my cabinets and pulled out white wools, cottons, white bridal fabric, white lace and other edgings...
glitter,
fake snow...

I have a hard time sitting still, but nevertheless! They have brought me up to speed with the latest Alien dramas and conquests! Sometimes I bring little pillows with me to stuff while I am watching the movies, but then I stick myself with needles...and then that is not a good thing!

Here are some recent things I have been working on. I have submerged myself completely into this little world of miniatures and small things. Not just dollhouse...but doll beds in all sizes as well as other things.  I have received custom orders from Australia (doll bedding for cats!), Europe, Canada and another country I cannot even pronounce! hahaha...shame on me.
I feel humbled and blessed at all of this!

I am loving all the designing, creating and sewing, it makes my heart sing. I was born to sew things I have pictured first in my mind.  I waited far too long to go down this road, but I am glad I finally did!

For some reason...not sure why...I love making little doll bedding sets. I can't explain...but I love it!
Soft white linens, cottons, and I use bridal fabric quite often for a touch of glamour and bling.
Well that is it for now. I post daily on Facebook and enjoy seeing all the wonderful people there that are working on projects too!
Have a great week.
Blessings,
Debbie

Fall Hoosier and Table

I pulled out a few fall things, threw them up in the air and they landed on the Hoosier exactly this way.....Bwahahaha .....

I didn't have a fireplace mantel, but love the look that I see so often where frames and mirrors are layered. So I did a bit of layering...ok quite a lot of layering!
And some stacking, (shoving around) maybe a bit of dusting too....I noticed things had a layer of dust!

I love fall and decorate with fall colors all year long, I love rusts, browns, golds, tans, etc. so I have over the years collected a lot of dishes, placemats, and tablecloths in those colors and then I pull them all out and layer things till I am happy with the look.

My favorite thing ever though is fall candles that smell like pie! Any kind of pie, hahaha....apple, pumpkin, cherry, lemon meringue .....everyone thinks I am baking something yummy and I tell them nope! It is a yummy candle! I love it!

See on the little oven the little pie? It is a candle I found, looks like a pumpkin pie and smells good too. I think I found it at Walgreens.
Anyhow that is all for now!
Blessings,
Debbie
