Dining rooms Big and Small-Fall French Country

Just a few things from my little dining room...further down is my real dining room...
I love country...
love French country....
love a rooster on the table...
placemats, napkins, napkin rings...I love it all.

And then there is the kitchen, fresh eggs, more chickens...a cutting board on a work island...
for dicing fresh vegetables from the garden to go into an omelet for breakfast...yummy.

Then there is my real kitchen...with a commercial refrigerator that holds hundreds of dozens of eggs before they go to the market, or farmer's market.

I love aprons and need to make some for my little kitchen area.

I love to set the table for fall...and the more I thought about it, realized that is what I needed to do but on a miniature scale. I have made several so far and sold them in my Etsy shop, so other people must want them for their little vignettes or dollhouses... that is a happy thing!
I love mercury glass...too...a bit of sparkle in my everyday farmer's wife life! hahaha

Debbie

DOXIE DISASTER

Doxie Disaster....
I left them home to go visit my  mom...she has been in the hospital, and is doing much better.
But I came home to this...
They had shredded the pink bed mattress in the right side of the photo, there was
foam everywhere...
the camera didn't even get it all!
Hahaha...oh my gosh!

FARM FRESH PRINTABLE...FALL DECOR

We live in a rural part of S. California....
way out in the countryside....
Fresh eggs,
Creamy milk...
Cows eat and sleep and get milked daily....

Our porch by our back door....we have a long porch on the front of our farmhouse too....but our back porch has our old dining room table with 8 chairs...visitors can visit, have a seat, listen to the sheep bahhhhing, the cows mooing...the chickens cackling...believe me our farm is always noisy!
WE HAVE HUNDREDS OF CHICKENS...EVERY TIME THEY LAY AN EGG....THEY CACKLE ALL DAY ABOUT IT!

LITTLE PIGLETS....

I plant mums for fall decorating as I have said before....
baby chicks abound as you have seen....
*************************
It takes them four months before they start laying eggs, so we are always getting new baby chicks because we sell fresh eggs.

but with all that goodness comes a lot of chores!
But there are lots of good things happening too!
Our kids live near us...and we are once again...
cooking....daily! Hahaha...
right around dinner time...they all show up....
you know...just by coincidence!

Lanterns get lit when the light outside starts to dim...
out come the comfy plaid blankets to snuggle in....
it is good to be thankful for all of these things.
Blessings,
Debbie

Fall Past

Hello everyone...
I decided to share some photos of Fall past...
Last year...I bought a ton of Mums, rust, burgundy, etc...and then planted them afterwards.
They come back very well every year, and just need a summer trim so they are full and bushy and not long stemmed for fall. ( I learned the hard way!)
Inside I went for a warmer look. I usually go with more whites and creams...but I needed ORANGE!
My inner woman would wear orange a lot...I love that color...the warmth...after all pumpkins are my favorite thing in the world...and yes they are mostly orange!
When I sew and make quilts...yes they tend to have orange in them...

And I may have spray painted some metal trays from the thrift store...orange...yep I may have...

I also put together this cubby shelf thing from Target...to hold my music by my piano. But I decided to line the back of it with script written fabric. Love how it turned out.

While I had the spray paint out, I spray painted a few muffin tins....you know how you look around your kitchen and house...for things to spray paint?  Yep...I then added candles...and then added the pot pourri...it doesn't work to add the pot pourri first....I'm just sayin'.....

More orange in the quilt...I would be embarrassed to show you all my quilts...with orange in them.

Awww...little baby chicks are always arriving at the Post Office for us to go pick up...
Did I mention we live on a Chicken Farm? With hundreds of these little guys...and
eggs? Oh the eggs...
I should write a cookbook...with eggs as the main ingredient!
Thanks for stopping by!
Blessings,
Debbie
