Welcome to my sewing room/guest room. My work table is filled with doll furniture and items that I have been making recently. The cabinets are from my old kitchen and repurposed in here.
Doll beds were meant to be beautiful, covered with pillows, crisp white sheets, ruffled comforters and pillow shams....
and hutches that usually have play dishes in them hold bobbins of thread, ribbons and laces.
The red chair was a gift to me from someone at church...they said it just looked like me. I did a happy dance all the way to the car. The basket on the chair holds little white pillow cases edged in lace with the softest pillows ever inside.
I MAY HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF FABRIC...I MAY HAVE A LOT...
I'M JUST SAYIN'....
I DON'T WANT MY HUSBAND TO REALLY KNOW
HOW MUCH THERE COULD BE...
NO PICTURES...
NO EVIDENCE.....
BWAHAHAHAHA!
I have a bed in this room so my husband will think it is a guest room!
Wedding pillows are also one of my favorite things to make...
this bridal tote I just made as a special order for her daughter's up and coming wedding day. I love to repurpose wedding garments and make something beautiful out of them!

Below is my work area...right now I have one of my table runners spread out. The cabinet holds repurposed and decorated cans filled with rick rack. Each can holds a different color. The basket below holds unfinished works in progress. I usually cut out things one day, sew the next and finish items....if the week goes rough or we are busy, then I at least try to cut or sew one thing a day.
The dollhouse was a gift to me and is a work in progress. I sew miniature bedding sets for dollhouse beds too....
I confess...I love rick rack!
And red seems to be my happy color.

Well Debbie: We are made out of the same cloth! I love red, and dollhouses and making furniture and accessories for them! I am your new follower! Hope you'll come visit me too!
I had the best time visiting your studio! Not only because your have a great sense of humor but also because I learned a lot. Like, how you set up your work schedule by cutting one day, sewing the next. And like you, I adore rick rack. Brings back precious memories of childhood! I swear mum's the word.. I won't let on where all your fabrics are stashed. In fact, I may copy those hiding places myself!!
Well, you KNOW that I love all the polka-dots and gingham, and shades of red!.. But I didn't realize, Debbie, that you had an Etsy shop! I will definitely be paying you a visit there. I have two doll houses, so I'm sure there will be fun things to find for at least one if not both of them!.. Thanks for sharing your creative space. I enjoyed stopping by, and hope you're enjoying your weekend! ~tina
