Miniature Shabby Style Tablescape

Hey everyone, I've been busy at work....loving some things I have been making. In between the creating...had to take a break and water all of our buildings and home down..as we had a nearby fire.
One thing about living in a rural part of Southern California is dealing with fires.

Still not out but not coming towards us.

I don't know about you but I love Shabby style....whites with soft roses...pale colors...chippy paint

So I had this thought...why not do a miniature Tablescape in Shabby Cottage style?

Tiny plates with roses, white charger plates underneath, napkin rings with the sweetest rose embellished napkins and matching tablecloth, robin's egg blue dessert plates...
Then the table needed a centerpiece, and I found a tiny candelabra, so I painted it white and added a little bit of distressing....

Hope you are enjoying the beginning of your weekend!
                           Blessings,
                          Debbie

Welcome to my sewing room/guest room. My work table is filled with doll furniture and items that I have  been making recently. The cabinets are from my old kitchen and repurposed in here.
Doll beds were meant to be beautiful, covered with pillows, crisp white sheets, ruffled comforters and pillow shams....
and hutches that usually have play dishes in them hold bobbins of thread, ribbons and laces.
The red chair was a gift to me from someone at church...they said it just looked like me. I did a happy dance all the way to the car. The basket on the chair holds little white pillow cases edged in lace with the softest pillows ever inside.

I MAY HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF FABRIC...I MAY HAVE A LOT...
I'M JUST SAYIN'....
I DON'T WANT MY HUSBAND TO REALLY KNOW
HOW MUCH THERE COULD BE...
NO PICTURES...
NO EVIDENCE.....
BWAHAHAHAHA!

I have a bed in this room so my husband will think it is a guest room!
Wedding pillows are also one of my favorite things to make...
this bridal tote I just made as a special order for her daughter's up and coming wedding day. I love to repurpose wedding garments and make something beautiful out of them!

Below is my work area...right now I have one of my table runners spread out. The cabinet holds repurposed and decorated cans filled with rick rack. Each can holds a different color. The basket below holds unfinished works in progress. I usually cut out things one day, sew the next and finish items....if the week goes rough or we are busy, then I at least try to cut or sew one thing a day.
The dollhouse was a gift to me and is a work in progress. I sew miniature bedding sets for dollhouse beds too....

I confess...I love rick rack!
And red seems to be my happy color.

Well I am posting a bit early since I will be out of town for this amazing party.
Be sure to visit Karen @
Where Bloggers create....the party starts July 12th.
It is a wonderful party. I love to see what everyone is up to and working on in their homes!
Thank you for coming by for a visit!
Blessings,
