Decorating for Christmas-Vintage Toys

Welcome to my farmhouse kitchen. I have decorated with a few of my vintage stoves, gingerbread girls I made, and vintage baking toys. I love muffin tins!
Ha Ha I have been know to squeal ever so loudly when I find one of these gems.
And little refrigerators, ovens...oh my...they just get to me!
The Christmas tree skirt below was a fur embellished cape my daughter wore one year for a Christmas play. She is now married!
Over the years I have found vintage baking items, I just tie bows on them and hang them from one of my little kitchen trees.

Above is my dining room/kitchen for Christmas...
Below is a miniature Christmas vignette I made and sold to a customer.

Have  I mentioned I love red and white?
It seems to be everywhere for the Christmas season.

Thank you so much for coming by for a visit! Merry Christmas!

Christmas-Vintage Farm Decor and Quilts

Hello everyone!
With chillier nights, cool winds blowing, icy temperatures....it is time to pull out the quilts. Vintage quilts!
The chair to the side of the bed belonged to my hubby's grandmother, while the red and white poinsettia quilt was handmade and hand appliqu├ęd by my grandmother Clarcie in Illinois.
What a treasure!
It is faded, and worn, and filled with love. It is also red! My favorite happy color!
The pillow in the front is made from an old fashioned runner that has hand made crocheted lace on it. One can never have too many pillows....stack them, layer them, lean on them, sleep on them, decorate with them...
while sleeping soundly....maybe even drool on them...hahaha
Felt pillows at the foot of the bed were made by me. My pattern.
Both my husband and I are fortunate to have family heirlooms...quilts, hand painted china, furniture, all from the generations before us.
I love it!
Woodland themed Christmas from last year...

I printed out a Christmas saying, decoupaged it to a canvas, glued on a cross from Hobby Lobby and hung it from my mirror behind my Nativity scene.

 Guest bedroom.....

Below is my armoire since high school, with my daughter's wedding bouquet (dried) and her sparkly wedding shoes...

Our middle son recently moved into this room....he kindly asked if we could take the foofy curtains and lights down....
boohoo...and the shoes and bouquet are gone...
and the pretty pillows...
well and the candles too...
he replaced my decorating with cords, power strips, computers, iPads....
the door just stays shut now...
waaaaah....
onward and upward...

Hot cocoa station that we do every year. Our kids love to come over and make hot coffee,
hot cocoa...
they also love to make a mess! hahaha

Have a blessed weekend!

Winter White Fireplace, Window and Shutters

Hey sweet friends...
I'm sitting by the wood stove at home...we live in a farmhouse...
and yes it has a wood stove...not a lovely fireplace and mantel...
a black...woodstove...
sigh...
But in my dreams....little miniature ones of course...I have a fireplace, a mantel, an old window, shutters, layered pictures, etc...
And I sit by this little fireplace, and I snuggle up in a Shabby style throw, of course, a stool to put my feet on or coffee and cookies...
Sigh, it is in my dreams. But very real nonetheless!

Winter is upon us!
Blessings,
Debbie

Red and White Decorating and free vintage Christmas Images

Hey everyone! I wanted to show you a couple of pictures and inspiration for some of my miniatures and doll scenes. Below is the bed in my sewing room...also guest space....there is room for the guest to get in bed and walk straight towards the doorway when getting out of the bed! Hahaha...the rest is material! Oh and maybe a sewing machine...

And below is a miniature bed scene I created for a customer...love a tray with goodies on a bed.

Free Vintage image I found on Pinterest.

I love sleds....and I have forgiven my hubby for throwing away a great old rusty sled I had.....waaaah....I forgive him...waaaah....
Below my sleigh ride sign for a miniature vignette.
Miniature cookie jar and peanut butter cookies made out of polymer clay. Can you tell I like red?

Thank you for visiting!
Blessings,
Debbie
