Shabby Chic Inspired-New Guest Room Remodel

Hey everyone...I hope you had a marvelous weekend. We got to see our middle son who now lives out of state.  He is always  wonderful to be around.
Here are some before and after shots of our daughter's room which we remodeled recently.
She is happily married and is in her own home....so the pink teenage bedroom had to go!
Bubblegum pink to peaceful creamy mocha and whites...
(Joining in with this new party! Check it out!)

cute and teenagerish...
to peaceful serene getaway...

Said goodbye to all the pink and black pillows we had made...
Packing it all away!

It was a little emotional...until I started getting ideas for the new project!

We moved some bookshelves from the living room to her/guest room for the tv etc.

When we chose paint I wanted a color that looked like coffee with lots of cream in it.
I found script writing fabric at Hobby Lobby and covered some older pillows that I had.
I fashioned a white sheet to become the backdrop curtain for the bed frame.
My plate rack from the kitchen now moved here holds the white ironstone collection.

A repainted white hutch holds my white quilt collection.

Below are my daughter's flowers now dried from the wedding. I love how they look.
I shopped my home for iron pieces, several vintage items, candleholders, trays, candles, white ironstone pitchers.
The white round mirror is new.

I spray painted a little glass vase glossy black to add some dimension to the shelf. The shelf is a very old piece that received another coat of white paint. A soft milky shade of white.

The white chest in the corner I have had since high school, it was painted white and is a little distressed and worn. Talk about vintage! Aged and distressed! Hahaha
Well thanks for coming by!
Come back for a visit for more fall inspiration!

Hi Debbie! You room makeover is sooo pretty! I still have a hot pink room, and am itching to paint it, and turn it into my studio/guest room. Right now, daughter #1 and fam, come stay every weekend, so getting the prep and painting done, with my shop and homeschooling...well...not so easy to accomplish!

I will be posting tons of photos when it's done though. Already have the color picked out and have made accessories to go in it!

Thanks so much for linking up to Blissful Whites Wednesday! Hope you'll be back next week!
