Little Pies in Canning Jars

Hey everyone! I hope you are experiencing cooler weather...we finally are. I'm enjoying having our kids home for a brief visit.
This always means more cooking and baking!
I decided to use little canning jars for some fun food containers.
Mixing up candy with salty treats is always a yummy snack.
I also like to bake deserts in canning jars.

I've used the jars to make little mini apple pies, or apple crumbles....it
smells incredible while baking.

A little cinnamon and sugar on the crust is an added bonus to the apples baking.

Once the pie mixture is in the jars you can add a traditional pie crust....
or make a crumble topping.

Either way they are tasty and so cute when served.

But for now...the kids just want PIE!

Blessings,
Debbie
