Bedroom makeover for Fall

Hello Everyone!

Thank you for coming by for another day in 31 Days of Fall Inspiration.
So many lovely ideas are blooming in blogland.
****************************************
I decided to shop my own home and do a small makeover in our bedroom for fall.
I just wanted it to be a little cozier...
I pulled some favorite old quilts in fall colors,
a few black pillows from downstairs, a tray, basket, teapot, rust colored coffee mugs,
fall napkins,
silver spoons,
rust flowers from outside....

the fall inspired quilt was given to me by a dear friend whose grandmother made it. Wow, what a treasure.  The small pillow made by me, the free pattern link is below.

It just took a couple of evenings to cross stitch this design, then make it into a small bedroom pillow for our bed.

For cross stitching directions or how to cross stitch you can watch a 5 minute Youtube video here if you'd like...
click on this link to go there...

It only takes a few minutes to make our bed, and I love what it does to our room.
It feels peaceful, restful...a place of refuge after a long day.
This bedroom belonged to our teenage boys,
we ended up remodeling the upstairs when my parents moved in downstairs to live with us....
it was pretty boring and basic...
and it smelled of socks and football jerseys...
A small metamorphosis....

A few muffins, later donated to a friend after pictures were taken.
Have I mentioned that I have lost 25 pounds?
So I am not eating donuts or muffins, but I did need them for the picture!
They smelled heavenly...so I had to quickly get rid of them!
Thank you so much for coming by for a visit!
Blessings,
Debbie
