20 Falll Favorites

Welcome! I'm starting the 31 Days of Fall Inspiration with Melissa over @ The Inspired Room. You should join along. It is a wonderful party meant to bond bloggers all over.
To kick off the party I'm posting
You really should join in with all the fun!
1. First favorite is spending time with family, enjoying fall festivities....football or soccer games, family outings....
2.During the fall season...I make a special effort to make sure our home looks welcoming, smells good, is comfortable to all who come. Hospitality is important with each cup of water offered.  A meal that is provided to make everyone feel special and important at your table...

3.  Fixing up the patio and front porch for cool fall evenings, enjoying the outdoors.....

4. Baby chicks arriving during fall assures us of having eggs year round (we live on a chicken ranch...)

4. Doing a little fall nesting in the kitchen....on the shelves, the vintage hoosier and pie safe. They always get adorned with fall fixin's...

5. Little Apple Pies baking....family always comes over and I love to serve something yummy!

Which includes stocking the kitchen with pie baking supplies....rolling pins....lots of them to keep up with all that pie crust!

6. Fall flowers growing and spilling over in my planters on my porch....

7.  We outfit our porch with extra chairs, lighting, candles, quilts for when the evenings get cooler....to visit outdoors with a cup of hot tea or hot chocolate...

8. fresh eggs to use in baking from our girls in the henhouse....

9. Free images on the internet: Free vintage image to print off for you...
I like to print vintage images off on cream or white cardstock and then mat and frame for inexpensive decorating.

10.  I always enjoy walking in our dining area and seeing the table set for fall....
with fabric napkins, plates stacked on each other, fall and autumn decor in the center for everyone to enjoy....
11. I love fall quilts, I pull out as many as possible...we love to wrap up in a soft cozy quilt and enjoy a favorite movie on tv....

12.  Wonderful spicy candles are a must in the home.... love to smell candles...they just add something extra special. A spray painted muffin tin is a great ways to house some little fall candles surrounded with pot pourri.

13. I also remind myself daily that I am blessed to live in the country...the chores seem endless, but so do the blessings....
14. Pumpkin lattes, pumpkin scones, pumpkin pie, pumpkin hand soap from Bath and Body....IT IS A MUST....IT SMELLS SO GOOD I CAN'T STAND IT!

16. Piping hot coffee with whipped cream on top and a sprinkle of pumpkin spice on top....makes morning coffee a little special.
17. Pumpkin pancakes are a must.
18. Jeans, flannel shirts, boots and a jacket for cool evenings.

19. Hot soups, chowders and fresh baked bread with real butter...yummy in my tummy!
One can never have too many pumpkin displays...I mix ceramic, faux mercury, real squash and even a few plastic to make a full on display.
Going to the pumpkin' patch is always a great outing!

***** A couple of years ago I started making little 'Thankful Books' for our family to write in when they came over...little stories written, blessings, remembered....it is sweet to go back and read what they have written.
20.  Daily I am thankful for my family, friends and loved ones who make my world go 'round!
Also...Joining in with Marty @ http://www.astrollthrulife.net
for Table Top Tuesday!

Love your Thankful book!

You love pumpkins, that's for sure. It's only in recent years we have had pumpkins in our shops in Ireland ... as a child I carved turnips!!

I need to know - what is a vintage hoosier?!!
