Heavenly Wedding Day

Yay, we had a wonderful wedding. My daughter was beautiful. I'm so proud of her.  She did such a great job planning the wedding, and picking out things. We got a lot of ideas off of Pinterest and then duplicated them.
The little flower girl was tired mid way down the aisle but her parents got her to get up and go the distance....then a nap followed! Just too much excitement I guess!

 Carlsbad...the ocean in the distance.

These are the flower girl dresses I made.

What an honor for me...my  husband and I both walked her down the aisle. My parents both walked me down the aisle 32 years ago, so it only seemed fitting to keep this tradition alive.

We served sparkling apple cider for the toast,
had a wonderful meal,
Cake,
bouquet toss,
garter toss,
coffee,
then we saw them off,
then...
clean up
and
night night...

the funny thing is, we spray painted all the glass vases because she did not like that the green stems from the flowers showed through in the glass vases.  She wanted everything to be white, pink and black...no green.

My glass jars, her candy, cookie and cupcake design.

I never even got a cupcake, donut, or piece of candy...it was all gone by the time I got to the reception. Thank goodness I took these pictures before it all started.
We had an incredible day....I wish my dad could have seen her but maybe he was looking down from heaven.  It was indeed heavenly.

Blessings,
Debbie

Here comes the bride!

Here comes the Bride! This is the weekend our poopsie gets  hitched. We haven't slept, we haven't cleaned house, any regular routine stuff has been halted...

We've looked at signs,
Made signs, ring bearer pillow, and three little tiny flower girl dresses. I'll show those later...after I sew the last buttons on.

Gotten ideas for candy bars, and reception decor.

High School sweethearts are FINALLY getting married.
Thank God...I don't have to listen to her whine anymore! hahaha

Just getting ready for the big day...yay!
Blessings,
Debbie

Where bloggers create

I am so excited about this blog party! Yay! I'm
joining in with-http://www.mydesertcottage.com/
Sewing is my passion so my creative spot is filled with fabrics of every color. My heart swoons when I see folded fabric on my shelves! hahaha...kind of gets to me!
From baby quilts, to table runners, to wedding garments, I love to sew, create and design with fabric, thread, ribbons and laces...you name it.

I took a bookcase (cheap one from Walmart!) and added an old door from a junk pile. The handle on it is a garden style door knocker.

On the book shelf I have various baskets filled with lace, boullion fringe, patterns, cross stitch fabrics and threads, and notebooks filled with vintage patterns, embroidery designs, and ideas.
There are shelves filled with ring bearer pillows which I love to make and sell. I love sewing wedding accessories, and I usually make them out of vintage wedding dresses or old style flower girl dresses that will never be worn again.

I recovered soup cans with various scrapbook papers, lace and embellishments. They help organize my large supply of rick rack in every color. I'm not sure why I love rick rack but I do!!

Vintage bread pans help organize all my ribbons.

On the other side of the sewing/creating room is a twin bed for guests or my kids when they are visiting.

I used old shutters nailed to the wall to give the illusion of an old vintage garden style headboard.

My ironing board is chair height so I can sew, iron, sew and iron without getting up.
Are you getting the idea that there is fabric...EVERYWHERE? hAHAHAha

Glad you stopped by. Be sure to check out all the other wonderful creative spots!
Blessings,
Debbie
