Flag Door & Free Vintage Americana Images

We had an old door that I painted Americana and then hung at the end of our porch.
I painted the entire door white.  Then using masking tape, I taped at equal distance...stripes.  Painted the red stripes. Next I painted a dark blue square.  After it dried I hammered a nail in the center of the square and hung the metal star (from Joann's Fabrics).
This was a couple of years ago and it has held up really well. Joining in with all the goodness over @ http://savvysouthernstyle.blogspot.com/

Spray paint it, plant it and stick a flag in it!
I love to cross stitch Americana/flag designs. There are quite a few free charts online. Here are a couple.

For more vintage images that are free for downloading and printing go here!
These are fun to print out and frame and add here and there for Patriotic decor that is inexpensive.

Your flag door is just the cutest! Who needs curtains when you have something that beautiful. I just love it!

What is it they say about being a day late and a dollar short? That is how I feel when I look at your adorable door. I had an old door hanging around in my side yard forever. I knew there was something I could do with it, but hadn't come up with an idea. Then when we did our yearly spring yard clean-up, I threw it into the back of the pick-up and off to the dump it went. Isn't that the way it goes? Your American flag door is an out-of-the-box awe-inspiring project. If you have a moment come on over for a visit. I'm new to blogging, but having a ball. Connie :)

What a fun project! No one has anything over you on porch decorating! So nice to know you came by! I sure don't want to be responsible for keeping you awake at night! haha!

I simply love this door, and you've inspired me to try it myself on my front porch. Thanks so much for the adorable printables, too.

Hi, Debbie -
I just found your blog in a round-about way through a couple of blogs I've been reading over the past few days. I LOVE your door and your patriotic decor. Reading your profile I can see that we have a lot in common. I'll be back often to see what you have to share. Can't wait to see more!
