Blackberry Pie-DIY easy

One of my mother's favorite kinds of pie is blackberry pie.
So I have found a very easy way to make it.
I bought a package of frozen blackberries about 3 cups worth(Walmart food)
and added a cup of sugar, maybe a little more depending on tartness of berries.
You don't want a tart berry pie...does not taste good, so add more sugar if needed.
Think berry jam....
1/3 cup flour
1 tbsp lemon juice
stirred together

next you can purchase premade pie crust dough or roll  out your own...
Place crust in pie plate, add your berries and then dot with butter, cover with your second pie crust.
Bake for an hour at least. I lay foil on top of pie so it does not burn the edges, or over cook them. I take the foil off the last 15-20 minutes. My oven cooks hot too so I do this to protect the pie.

Just imagine a bite of hot gooey berry pie....

Make a pot of coffee, or a jug of icy ice tea and serve! Yummmmmy!
Wish you were here....because pie fixes everything!

Hover your mouse over embroidery pattern below, it will open in a new window then save it to your computer. I save patterns like these in a file I named "free embroidery patterns". I save it in my Picture or photo file, otherwise it comes up as a word file-code letters instead of an image.

Thanks for visiting.

My mouth is watering, Debbie! I love berry pies! They remind me of my sweet Gramma. She loved baking Marion and Boysenberry pies every summer.
Thank you for your recipe...I look forward to making one up soon!
I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day, my friend!
