I'm a Leap Year Baby!

I saw this little picture on a blog and had to post it.
It's my birthday today.
I'm 52 but in Leap Years I'm only 13.
I have a real birthday every 4 years and have only
met 3 other people that have a birthday
on this day too.
Yay!
Blessings,
Debbie

Farmhouse Whites

Welcome to our farm...snow visited us last night.

See how to make this patio shelf out of a pallet here @
http://ribbonwoodcottage.blogspot.com/2012/02/pallet-turned-patio-shelf.html

While I was outside taking some shots, I noticed someone on the right (Mr. Rooster) was not where he was supposed to be...this is the pigeon pen!  Hmmmm, how the rooster got in here is a good question!

Glad you came by for a visit!
Blessings,
Debbie

Pallet turned Patio Shelf

Hey everyone! What a beautiful sunny day...spray painting weather! hahaha...Loved it.
First things First!

Holly @ Cutie Pie Cottage
won the giveaway for
Valentine's day! Yay.
Holly I will email you for your mailing address,
Congrats!

Instead of painting, I found an old pallet, there are quite a few under feed bags by the barn...dragged it up to the house...

and decided I wanted to make a patio shelf for our back porch.
Sprayed it off for several minutes after all it was down by the barn.

Shabby Ruffled Pillow-Easy DIY

One day while thrifting I came upon the sweetest ruffled shirt.
I pondered what to do with it...knowing it looked like something
to be worn in a Romantic Cottage.
I laid it out and decided to cut it into a rectangle shape.  Off with the sleeves, collar and rounded hem.

I sewed it together, stuffed it with the softest filling and put it on my favorite cottage red chair.
Yep it is sweet and romantic.  I'm on the lookout now for more ruffled shirts and even skirts  Who knows what soft romantic things could be made from all those premade (1980's) ruffles.
Blessings,
Debbie

Springtime Bunny & Cabbage Quilt Inspiration

Just a bit of spring inspiration...it is cold and windy here...but I must admit I'm thinking of spring, flowers, planting, blooms, warmer weather...
I pulled out my spring quilt, and I am going to start machine quilting it. I've seen so many spring projects I can't help but think of
pretty colors and designs.
