We have several hundred chickens that lay eggs....
metal nesting boxes...
the hens lay eggs...
they roll outside to the outside of the barn where they are collected.
Easy peasy...not really but we are not big enough to do conveyer belts, etc. So I saw this old junky nesting box outside the barn....I looked to the right...looked to the left...no one was around....sooooo...I snuck(ok I stole it) it to my hidden work area (the back of the house) and spray painted it. I figure if it's painted no one can identify it! Snicker, giggle, and so far so good.

The pumpkins have found the perfect nesting area...
I mean would you notice it? All tucked away under ivy and stuff?
I'm thinkin' I like this "Hen Chic" decor! Hahahaha...notice the galvanized chicken feeder on the table? Who would have thought...we have so many of these I could line them up end to end and.....well...there's alot!
Glad you stopped by! If any of you feel so inclined to tell my hubby what I have done I may cackle!
After this weekend I will be changing all the pumpkins out for little Christmas trees, old farm handtools, vintage ornaments, etc...
can't wait!
But the kids are still home so I'm all theirs for a couple more days...yay!

I'd have snapped it up in a red hot second too *winks* I think it's been perfectly repurposed so no take backs by the chickens! Lol! Your porch looks wonderful! Vanna
