Vintage Tool box and white roses
Hey everyone....I'm anticipating fall with relish...looking at fall decor, thinking of baking and enjoying
apple pies, drinking hot apple cider, watching football games with my father. But today was
beautiful, enjoying one of the last days of summer and roses blooming, couldn't seem to get enough
of this wonderful summer day.
I found an old tool box that usually houses little flower pots...emptied it out and
filled with jars of white roses. I love sitting on our back porch, visiting, laughing...remembering funny
family stories...these are precious days I'm having with my parents.
They are a little bit vintage...born in the 20's...they honeymooned in Cuba!
How funny....that is so foreign to me...they said it was beautiful. My dad is a minister,
and he spoke in several churches over there....said the people and the churches were wonderful!
A peaceful porch is what I desire...one where people visit and share their thoughts and precious memories.
Do you have a place at home like this? I think it is important to provide this for our family...
a sanctuary of sorts....a peaceful habitation....even at our farmhouse....on our porch you can hear the chickens
clucking and roosters crowing....sheep bahhing....no quiet here!
I have used old rakes, shutters, tool boxes, wire fencing and loads of perennials to create an outdoor room....
wish you could come by for a visit!
A small chest of drawers from my hubby's grandfather that used to hold tools now holds fall flowers!
Enjoying these parties!

I'd love to sit on your porch with you Debbie :) I'm glad you're getting to enjoy these days with your parents. I'm sorry I haven't been by much this summer. I've been staying offline more and enjoying time with my family :)
Beautiful photos!
Blessings,
Marcia
Gorgeous! You have done a great job making this very inviting. I want to sip coffee here! I love all of the little touches you added. I love those peaceful areas around the home, too.
I am so ready for fall! It's time to work on the fall mantle for sure. And the yummy baking, too!
Thank you for your sweet comments on my blog!

Just lovely! ♥
The white in the toolbox is so pretty! How wonderful to be able to spend time with your parents...a true blessing.
My Aunt visited Cuba in the 50's and loved it. I do not have a quiet space in my home and don't spend enough time outside to enjoy the quiet. No roosters here, just hens and they are quite quiet. Love the white toolbox and flowers and all the white. Joni
I love all the sweet things you have done to your lovely home. I need to find one of those tool boxes-I love how you have used yours for flowers!
Best wishes,
Natasha.
everything is soooo pretty!
