PB Tuscan inspired Outdoor Tablesetting

Do you ever see something and get inspired? I did when I saw this picture in the Pottery Barn outdoor catalog...I think it was a sale catalog. I thought to myself...I can do this!
The center container holding herbs looks like a chicken feeder...and well...we have a few of those here on our property...I knew the chickens wouldn't mind!
I found some outdoor summer placemats while thrifting and knew they would be perfect when spray painted! Yay...love a great spray painting project!
I bought a few herbs...the rest I shopped from my house and put them on a table outside on our back patio.
The dishes my hubby got for my birthday a few years ago...I'm a leap year baby so it has been a while.
I used a small plant tiered stand and placed small baskets on it with french bread. Fresh vegetables and fruit...and of course I thought we needed some candle stands so I added those for ambiance after the sun starts to set.

Glad you came by. See more tablescape goodies here @ http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/
and thrifting goodies here @ http://lbratina.blogspot.com/
I'm using the new post settings blogger has started...and I'm not sure what that blank picture above is all about...will have to do some homework on this one. Blessings,

I'm so blessed

Red~spray painted shabby frame

I was so excited to find this plastic frame by the trash bin at my daughter's college. Someone was throwing this out and I snatched it up. She just laughed and immediately knew it was bound for spray painting! Hahaha...we got to watch her play soccer at college tonite online. CBS sports has a college channel online that you pay a fee and get to watch any college soccer game or other sports for that matter. So it was fun to watch her play online at her college.
Anyhoo...this frame was perfect for my sewing/guest room. It is mostly decorated in white with red touches here and there. Wasn't sure what to put in it...and then I got an idea.
A mannequin...of sorts. I noticed on Pinterest a lot of people decorate with mannequins so I thought why not!
Got out my scrap book papers and voila...
Now to organize everything and keep it clean!

The shelf below the frame holds ribbons, lace, buttons, all sorts of bits and bobs of sewing goodies....

Of course there is a party to link up to! Click on link above!
Thanks so much for coming by for a visit!

Farmhouse Planting Containers

Things that can be used as a vase or planting flowers in...
Well on a farm it can be many things! I tell my hubby if he is not feeding an animal with it, I may spray paint it and plant flowers in it! Hahaha

Joining in with http://funkyjunkinteriors.blogspot.com/ for all this fun!
A washtub with a washboard is always a good flower container don't you think?
Excuse the real chickens, they snuck out of the barn!

Last but not least an old little chest of drawers that held tools is now my most recent planter...I love to see flowers spilling out from it. Makes me very happy!

Thanks so much for coming by!

Roosters, chickens, turkeys, flowers and free stitchery pattern

Hey everyone! We have been enjoying the hot weather up in the hundreds! Yay! Wink
Our flowers have gone crazy and we are enjoying them.
On our trip recently we were up in the mountains and saw the beautiful sight of yellow flowers in a meadow setting. I loved this!
I wished I could have spent more time enjoying the beauty.

Outside a few of our feathered friends have snuck out of the barn and have been perusing the flower containers for bugs and other goodies.
Turkeys, chickens, and other farmhouse friends are always nearby. It is funny they will walk right up to me (hoping I have a little treat for them) and they will follow my hubby like a new puppy follows its bestest friend!

I've been working on some stitcheries and small quilts and pillows for my etsy. Well the farmlife is my inspiration. But below are some free patterns for you. Just print off, trace on muslin and stitch away!
