Washboard Planter

We are spending a great deal of time outdoors...which we enjoy. Kids swimming in the pool, cooking hotdogs on the grill, parents telling stories to the little ones of summers' gone by...
I cherish these days with my parents. They are enjoying porch time with us. Every afternoon we go outside, take a break from work, enjoy ice tea....water flowers, tend to my planters...it makes for peaceful afternoons. I know they won't last forever....but for now, they are wonderful.
My mother laughs at my use of things she used to use for laundry....a wash board!
It seems to fit in with the white tub and white flowers. Afterall a wash board was used to wash and clean and whiten clothes...
My favorite dish broke and now part of it adorns this planter...I was sad to see it in bits on the floor. I actually knocked it off the wall by accident....waaaaah!

That seems to be it for now. HOpe your summer is lovely. Ours is coming to a close with our daughter getting ready to return to school and soccer practice at college in two weeks. But she has a college scholarship to play soccer...so I really can't complain. But I am missing her already! She is fun to be around...beautiful, funny, has her dad and I watching all sorts of silly and fun shows like the bachelorette, cake boss, say yes to the dress. Her farmer daddy has no patience for most of the people on these shows. It makes for fun tv time though!

Hi Debbie!!!

I like your planter with the washboard! It so cute! Your mom had to get a giggle out of it! And what a great way to recycle a broken dish! Pretty!

I know your heart is breaking now that your daughter is going back to school, but just think of how last year flew by! Still...I know you miss her. Enjoy the rest of your summer!
