Hey everyone! Summer is almost over at our house...with our daughter going back to college. We are driving her to Oklahoma and will get to see our boys too. Yay.
But this week was a redo week. Not sure why....I guess when I get stressed I want to reorganize...move furniture...plant flowers....paint....clean closets...
work off some of the frenzy by organizing my home. It somehow organizes my thoughts when I do this.
I shopped my house mostly for things that had black, red, or sage green in them. And then there are the roosters and chickens...hence the birds in the laundry room!
I took one of my shabby chic white frames and spray painted it glossy black and then took a rooster picture from one of my calendars and put it in the frame! Voila! I just love how it turned out. Then on my little shelf I took a small basket loaded with fake little eggs...added an ivory vintage rooster.
The two rooster pictures were fine after I sponged on some black paint over the frame. Candle sconces are black metal, found them while thrifting.
Here is what the shelves looked like in the spring...
And in the fall....
Some of the extra shelves hold tablecloths, napkins, candles and extra linens for tablescaping.
If you are going to do a lot of laundry then at least make the area that is eye level above your washer or dryer something nice to look at. We do a lot of laundry with my family living with us...so....I want little goodies in nooks and crannies to look at....big smile.
Thanks for coming by!
Blessings,
Debbie

You have too much energy! I love all your little redos and look at all of your Roosters and Chickens! Now you much come to my Rooster and Chicken party on Aug. 9th! You've got a slew of the yard birds - inside and out!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Very nice and fun, I like the rooster picture ideas. I'm always looking for laundry room ideas and tips, as I'm building some more cabinets on top of the machines, I see a big white wall I can be using to do pretty things like you did...I love this idea! Have a great week, and thanks for sharing. FABBY
Absolutely beautiful!! xx
Absolutely beautiful!! xx
Very inspiring! I have a laundry room myself that is waiting in line for an update. I enjoy getting fresh and new ideas!
I always love to see what you do. I adore your decorating style. Have a fun time in OK!!
I agree, what better way to do laundry than to look at beautiful decorations. My laundry room is in the garage which I highly dislike but just the other day I organized a shelf above the washer/dryer and made it look a little prettier. Love how it looks. ~ Marie
