June 14, 2011

Our Anniversary is today!

Today is flag day, I love flag day and I love our American flag. I have been to a few other countries overseas and have always come home so grateful for our freedom. Freedom to just go to the church we want, send our kids to the schools we want, freedom to voice ourselves and what we think...even though sometimes we may be punished by others verbally for speaking our mind...we still are able to say what we think and discuss it with others.

I found this wonderful photo on wikimedia...by Bubbels....
But the other reason I love June 14th is because I married Mr. Farmer that day 31 years ago. With my 31 years and his 31 years of marriage sometimes it feels like 62 years! buwahahahaha....
Seriously I love this man....yes he makes me gather eggs, throw hay to the sheep (and yes I have my makeup on by then) and chase the sheep, I won't say what other chores I have had to do for the faint of heart who may read this....but there have been a few yucky things I as his farmer sweetheart have to do.... But all in all I am madly (mad and in love) with this guy! And I am grateful for the day I literally heard God speak to me! And say! "This is the one!" Oh yes I did! My heart swooned! His family laughed hysterically the first time I helped him plant a garden in my little designer jeans and makeup....
You know what they say about women with no makeup? Every barn looks better with a coat of paint! Buwahhahahahahaha
Growing up I admit I went to a church where very few gals wore makeup and I just remembered thinking when I was old enough I was buying a paint roller and tons of makeup, some spackle, a putty knife....okokokok
so I've never looked back and yes I color my hair too! You can tell by all the shades on the side bar pictures...different color in every picture....
Perhaps this is why I love red so much (no my hair has never been that color!)with white and blue, because of the marriage thing on flag day. So I will leave you with a little patriotic flavor!

Thank you for your visit...God Bless!
Debbie

Debbie, congrats. on your anniversary. I have to say you don't look like a farm girl. I am sure you are just as pretty without make-up. You have a beautiful sweet smile. Love reading your blog. Hoping you and hubby had a perfect day.

Well, I know MY "barn" looks better with a coat of paint!!! I'm just having a harder and harder time finding "a good primer" to cover up the wear and tear over time!!! (0; Wishing you and your husband a VERY HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! Best wishes always! ~tina
