Farmhouse and real farm chores

It's a wonder I get anything done around the farmhouse...with so many mouths to feed...chores and all....sometimes...I lock my hubby outside though...giggle...and then I can get some sewing done! He tries to delegate me with 'HIS' chores and animals! So I sweetly tell him I love him...and not to come back in until he's done feeding his animals!
Baby turkeys, toddler chickens...sheep, big chickens, didn't get the pigeon pen...but there's birds everywhere! And they are always hungry!
Even the dog and kitty are worn out from all the chores! These two love each other!
The big chickens have to be kept separate from the little chickens or they will peck the little ones to death. YOu've heard of the pecking order? It all started with the chickens. Pecking is instilled in their nature...pecking bugs and food...and then each other. That is why they are often kept in separate cages...people fuss about this being rough on them...but it actually keeps them from pecking each other to death. Little chicken trivia.
A woman's gotta do what a woman's gotta do!

Hi Debbie! Looks like fun times on the farm. We have three chickens and two cats and that's enough! Ha! I do love your dog and kitty picture. So sweet. Thanks for letting me know you stopped by!

Oh Debbie, you are definitely living the good life on your farm! How exciting to feed and nurture all of those feathery friends, and now I can see why it would be hard to get anything else done!

Debbie, I have always wanted to live on a farm, but I never knew about the pecking order. Makes sense!
