Farm animals outside....and a few roosters inside...decor of course

HELPLESS....that's what they are...they fall, they can hardly get up by themselves..they get caught
in the fence...they need help getting out...a dog will wiggle and squirm till they get loose, but not a sheep. Oh no...they need a shepherd...only animal that has to have a human's help..especially when giving birth.

/Funny how in the Bible God likens us to sheep....hmmmm....
not funny...not when you feed them everyday and see them wander around
waiting on you to water and feed them.
The baby lamb above loves to stand on the hay bale...it's the only way she
can reach the hay because the big sheep block her way....
 Roosters inside...

Roosters and pigeons outside in their pens...
we have to keep them inside something or they fly away and get
eaten  by COYOTES!

Hubby is Blog Trained....buwahahahaha

I don't know about you but I can't seem to get enough
decorating ideas for my porch. I love chippy paint...which
seems to happen around here since we live in an old farmhouse...
which I love by the way!
Nothing is more refreshing than sitting on the porch with my parents, drinking ice tea, laughing
and telling stories that make them happy.  That is the making
of a good day....and a good memory.
I have my hubby  Blog Trained now....which means that he asks me if I've taken the picture
before he sits down with his sheep worming supplies and messes up everything.
Nothing like real farm supplies to ruin my blog pictures! hahaha....
We never show the mess under the table or just beyond the tablescape do we?

Thanks for stopping by for my spring tour...these are just a few pics from last spring since it
is still a bit cold and dreary here.  I'm reminding myself...IT WILL COME!

I wanted to revisit some spring decorating I've done. My sweet husband and
I are heading toward my sons' graduation this weekend and so I am gone, but I decided to do a different spring post every day (preposting)
just for the fun of it and just because I can on blogger!
We actually live close to the ocean about an hour away from Oceanside. It is lovely most days...
This is one of my favorite scriptures of all time....I remind my kids that God is always
with them no matter where they are...they aren't lost!
Soft white dishes, white sea shells, beige and cream napkins and placemats...
all make for a peaceful and serene dining room.

Joining in with Kathleen for White Wednesday!
Stay tuned there is more coming tomorrow! Blessings to all of you.

It is springtime...time to decorate!

Hey everyone I hope your Easter weekend was great. Here is a picture of the valley we live in surrounded by mountains.

We are pooped after all that cooking but loved being with our family...
hearing funny stories...all the kids(even teenagers) having
an Easter Egg hunt. We all pitch in some
$1.00 bills so that there are prizes at the end.
They love it!
Our outdoor porch area is still naked as far as blooms but I have tucked in
a few pansies here and there. We still get snow and freezing temps so we
can't go too crazy planting just yet.

We have pigeons and I just wanted to show you a little something of what goes
on in the pigeon pen! hahaha...these two love each other. I guess spring really has arrived.

It is lovely here in California. Cold but lovely with wildflowers everywhere.

Pink Decor, spring decorating

Woo hoo it is Easter weekend. I love it. Hubby and I are cooking
mashed potatoes for 50 (family) and some sweet potatoes,
and homemade lightbread rolls~grandma's recipe. Yum
We are going to church and of course there will be glorious Easter music~ I love it! We are singing a special song called "Oh Glorious Day" by Casting Crowns. I get very moved by music and this song is incredible. It is on YouTube if you want to hear it!

I found this little crown while Thrifting recently andit seemed appropriate to put by my Easter Sign. I made the sign on the computer using Pink font.
This shelf is in my laundry room and I changed it around for spring and Easter.

China shelf in kitchen...I guess I'm kind of a shelf gal...I found out that I have one in nearly every room of the house...I must be a shelf decorator! hahaha

Above is a great printable...click on link above she has offered several colors for this free printable. Don't you love it?
