Baby lambs and a new Cottage style Pattern

Hey everyone! I feel guilty admitting how beautiful it is here in California. Cold but beautiful!
I've been working on making a pattern for my new little design....
kind of a cottagey style dust ruffle for a cake plate!
We will see how things go.
If you never get in a boat and float around how do you know if there
is land out there? So right now I'm floating along

hoping my new venture is a good one.
We have new baby lambs. One didn't make it because it was just too darn small.
One thing you HAVE to get used to on a farm is
that some animals just don't make it. It is
rough because you bottle feed them and try to help them
by bringing them in from the cold but still if they are not
strong they just don't survive. It is very sad.
You do what you can do and pray God will do the rest. Little lambs are so sweet though with their little wool covered bodies and sweet little bahhing that they make. I love it.
"The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want..." Psalm 23:1

I love that fabric on your platter cover. Oh, baby lamb, when you get a chance I would love to see a close up picture.

I can remember hand bottle feeding a calf in my kitchen as the mother rejected it back in the early 60's, And the poor little thing was too weak to survive even with my attempts. Farm life certainly has it joys and sorrows but worth it...
