All things pink and cottagey...at my table

I have a bit of a love affair with cottage style decor....and tables.
I love a table with a soft colored tablecloth on it....
and perhaps a table runner.
I love to walk in a dining room or kitchen and see a table sweetly adorned with the prettiest tableware...
letting your guests know that they are invited perhaps for a meal or just coffee and a visit! The table indeed welcomes your friends and guests to visit...and enjoy themselves while visiting your home.

A table also invites people to enjoy a meal with you...letting them know they are special and worth making a meal for.
When our kids were growing up I found that they would spill millions of details about school and friends while sitting at our table, eating the smallest of morsels.
A plate full of cookies, cut up apples, or carrots would often lead to a conversation about homework,  girlfriends, or a rough day that my kids navigated through....

Playing along today with Miss Beverly over at

Funny how I miss them at my table...now I get phone calls from college hearing all their stories...
but I walk by my table, and smile...
because I remember how precious those moments were!
Blessings,
Debbie

Yum! The cupcakes! And the quilt is just as pretty. I also love the pretty dishes. If we didn't move so much (military), I would collect pretty dishes!
