morning glories! Finally! I've waited most of the
summer to see all these blooms....and uh finally
in November? Here they are! Yipee! I have a question
though, if you know....once it freezes or snows are you
supposed to cut down the vines? Or do they die back?

Next I am finishing
up a raw edge applique
quilt. YOu don't fold
anything under...you
just stitch close to the
raw edge. Believe me
it was one of the easiest
projects I have ever
sewn. I love quilts...
and dream of
making different ones
and buying fabric
but at the moment I
am trying to use up fabric
I have bought over
the last 30 years!
You sew a large
round flower
shape, then a
medium one, then
smaller until it looks
like a layered flower..
with petals I guess.
The original pattern
is called "French
Roses" and is made
with shabby chic
fabric....gorgeous!
Then you wash it
once you are done
and it makes the
edges look worn,
tattered and shabby!
I will post a pic
of that as soon as
I'm done with the
machine quilting!
Blessings,
Debbie

Oh, you and those gorgeous quilts!!! Love it!
Love this quilt. I've never seen one like this. Did a reversible one once though.
No ideas about the morning glories - sorry. Beautiful!

I would like to propose to your Morning Glories. They should be called Morning Glorious.
And that is one great quilt, Deb. Love you a bunch.
The Red Head
I love the colors and patterns you put together. So, when you wash it the edges turn fluffy? Got to love that!
