A crow theme? What crow theme?

Apparently....I was told by a close relative...(ok it was hubby)
that I may have over done it with
decorating with Crows!

I have absolutely no idea what he is talking about!
But wait till you see the fall quilt I am working on!

Decoupage Jar~candle holder

Hey everyone! I love fall/Halloween

crafts and decoupage is as easy as it

comes. I found several free Halloween

images on google~saved them~printed them

off (onto cardstock). I also used scrapbook paper that

I found from Joann's store.

Use a glass jar~brush Mod Podge on the area that

your paper~label~or vintage image will go. Press it on

trying to remove bubbles.

I did find that 1/2 glue and 1/2 water mixed together works

DECOUPAGING FLUID! Next I added the glue on the

rest of the jar and sprinkled black Martha Stewart

glitter on.

Add a bow and you are done. I set a small glass votive

holder in the top of my jar and put a candle in it and used

it for a candle holder!

For this
candy corn and
the very first jar
picture~glue one
stripe at a time~
add glitter~
let dry~
add the next stripe of
decoupage glue~
add glitter...let dry...
and so forth!

Yipee! Don't you love HALLOWEEN CRAFTS? I do!

Outdoor Fall Welcome

Finally, finally things are blooming. I don't know about you
but I have planted so many flower seeds hoping for an
abundance of flowers everywhere. YOu know those
English gardens? Everywhere you look there are blooms,
shrubs, rose bushes...that is what I want...so I planted
and planted....fought off dangerous GOPHERS....RABBITS..
SQUIRRELS....but the only flowers that do well
are the ones I've planted in containers on the porch.

Ok maybe there was a kitten or two...maybe
even a concrete skunk (above)....

And hopefully before the frost...my morning glories will
bloom their little hearts out!
"And the Lord God planted a garden....and out of the ground made God to
grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food:" Genesis 2:8,9

Kitchen ~Dining room redo...

There are crows in my dining room! Usually everything
on this buffet is white...serene...peaceful...calming...a little
shabby....now it is a little questionable!

I took a metal basket filled it with cream burlap, pumpkins
indian corn, fall leaves and then propped a couple of
crows on it. I love it!

Joining in with Susan! Hi Susan!
We have lots of these Metamorphasis
projects going on at our house! I've gotten
more done because of blogging...
my hubby loves it. Procrastination
is GONE!
First of all....the all white shabby look is
visiting other rooms for the moment...
The house for the most part has had an enormous change
with .....

fall colors....warm, cozy...inviting....Time to put up the
lemonade and get out the hot apple cider (it was 90 here
in S. Calif...who am I fooling?)
Below was my buffet table for spring....this is how it looks
without the crows!

This cute little Trick or Treat banner was made by the
I love her stuff...she never ceases to amaze me! So
talented. And now some of her work has actually been on
the Melissa Francis site (famouse scrapbook designer)
Woohoo for Cherry! I'm serious, you should order something
from her...you won't be disappointed. And hey we need
to support each other and all the Etsy shop gals in the blog world!

I just tacked it to my dish cupboard! The cupboard is
now filled with orange, black and fall colors.

my plate cupboard...usually filled with
white pitchers, plates and things.

A rusted pumpkin, a framed stitchery...a few tiny pumpkins
and old kitchen utensils...

Glad you came by!
