Scared Chickens!~Chicken collection

There was a little panic within the ranks...you know the birds of a feather that flock together?
There was gossip....
chickens whispering....
They acted like they were pecking....you know bugs and all....
This one was cool as a cucumber!
These three huddled together...in fear perhaps...
talking between each other...making unusual chicken noises...

they hid out all over the house....hoping they wouldn't be spotted~

but they all seem to know
word was out....

Some of the chickens overheard me talking to Mr. Farmer Hubby about how a blogger had a giveaway....and then posted "Winner, winner, chicken dinner!" There was absolute chaos amongst the feathered gathering in the barn....

Everyone is sleeping with one eye open...
I told them if they keep laying eggs there is nothing to worry about! hahahaha....

this was what I found when I checked the egg
situation later on...
hahahahaha
Blessings,
Debbie

I loved your chicken story. My twins read a story today about some girls on a farm that were complaining about having to gather the eggs from the layers. They were wishing they lived on a broiler farm instead. I had to explain to the twins what they were talking about. A city girl trying to explain to her kids about farm animals. It's like the blind leading the blind :-)
Blessings,
Marcia

How funny! Your post gave me the idea that I need to go out and give our hens a pep talk. They've cut down on their egg production since the warm weather got here.
