Hey everyone! As most of you know my daughter is home from college. Yayah! I couldn't be happier....she seems so grown up ~I don't know what to think. We just got a letter saying she was on the honor roll for her grades! Yipeee....what a nice surprise! Uh we never
got a letter for either of our sons...(big smile) so it was indeed a surprise!
She is redoing her room and has gone wild with frames. Decorating them with scrapbook supplies. I love her ideas. She also informed me she decided what spray paint was the best since she has bought frames from the thrift store and spray painted them. We used what we had and then bought some. She likes Krylon and said it sprays the smoothest and does not drip. She is a girl after my own heart!
She bought some sticky rhinestones from Walmart and Joann's that spell words and she put them on the frames. So simple. She has kind of gone crazy...but I loved it when she said "you know making all this stuff makes me feel good inside." I thought~ How wonderful. That's how I have always felt when I make things....hard to describe but it's a wonderful feeling...isn't it?
Plain black frame and she added the pink sticker thing...
Pink ribbons glued onto the mat and then a sparkly word added
Here we are all cleaned up at my son's wedding 2 years ago.
....happy days....summer days!

How sweet that your daughter loves to do some crafts now! She did a great job with those frames!
Love the glitz and glamor! Your daughter is so talented.
Since you live on a farm, I hope you have heard of California Women for Agriculture. They're a great organization!

Congratulations on your daughter making the honor roll...that's not an easy thing to do! Hooray!
Love what she is doing to her room. My Emily is like that, always making things and decorating her 'space'. Abby's room is a disaster area. Hard to believe they grew in the same womb sometimes!
Have a great weekend, Debbie!

Wow Debbie, your daughter has been busy! I love the black, hot pink and the bling she is working with. Very nice! xx
I use those rhinestone words on my scrapbook layouts all the time but never thought to use them on picture frames. Love that idea! Thanks for sharing.... Wish my daughter was as motivated. She still has stuff in the hallway from her move home from her dorm. Too busy having fun to get unpacked.....

Fantastic! Love it! :)
Debbie, I really enjoyed reading your post. Your daughter sounds like a lot of fun to be with. A great hint for Christmas is the cricut. I love mine.
Wow, she has some great ideas! I want to send this great photo to my best friend and I am thinking now of customizing a frame. Happy Pink Saturday!
