Yippeeee! New Bathroom

We are in the last stretch now finishing up my parents add on to our house. Above their little living/dining room area on the second story we have added a bathroom upstairs for us. Mind you...we have lived in our house since the 80's with 3 kids...
and of course only had one bathroom/shower/tub. The kids (big smile) now moan and groan that they wished we had added the bathroom when they were growing up!
Well we would have liked that too!
I'm back to painting....carefully...trying not to spill or splatter....on the new tile floor.

I would have preferred white grout on the white tile...but we live on well water (rusty) and it tends to stain after a while...rust color....so why not go with the flow instead of trying to fight against it.
I will show more pictures when I have cleaned and decorated. One thing I am THRILLED WITH...is instead of having a linen closet or cupboard built in...Mr. Farmer hubby suggested ....SUGGESTED...that I buy a thrift store amoire and paint it shabby and use it for linens and towels! YIPEEE. I love this man!
SO IT HAS BEEN PAINTED......AND NEEDS A PULLEY...A PULLEY TO BE LIFTED TO THE SECOND FLOOR! OH MY STINKIN' GOSH! Oh well...he didn't say how heavy it should not be! Big smile.
Blessings,
Debbie

This is beautiful! I love the idea of going with the rusty-color countertop. I grew up with red Georgia clay and rusty well-water, so I know what you are talking about. Beautiful shade of blue.

Hi Debbie,
That lovely bathroom is coming along beautifully.
I love the idea of the vintage armoire for your linens. You must have trained your man pretty good to get him to suggest such a wonderful idea! I love the colors that you have chosen for your tiles. Can't wait to see the finished room.
