Hey Bloggin' Gals! What a beautiful day finally here in Southern California! I hope when Memorial day weekend comes that it will be warm and not snowing!
We usually invite lots of friends and kids over for tons of food and barbecue!
Part of my thrifty decor are these candlesticks found at my local thrift store, added is the little polka dot apron to tie in the red white and blue colors of the cross stitch I did a few years ago.
I made lots of cupcakes for all the college students staying with us. They are supposed to be flying to Thailand for a Music/Worship mission's trip and I'm a little worried with what the news has been saying about the commotion in Thailand....we will see what happens.
The napkins and napkin rings are from the thrift store as well. And the
conservatory is made from $1.00 frames from Michaels and of
course WHITE SPRAY PAINT!
Another thrifty thing is the $1.00 frame from Michaels that I painted like a flag...added letters, then printed off a Patriotic card I believe I saved on my computer years ago.
I love the shabby candlesticks and enamelware pitcher in the center...love it.
The grocery store had the cutest pretzels decorated with red, white and blue drizzled frosting Yum!
Next for a cupcake stand I used a red plate placed on one of my red and white enamelware pans.
The little red serving dish is from my wonderful cousin Ralaine who reads my blog. She gave it to me (hubby and I really) for our 30th wedding anniversary coming up! I was married at 12! Buwahahahaha....I'm really a youngster...I'm really not old enough to be married that long!
The little papier mache houses were a clearance sale find at Michael's store that I decoupaged flags and vintage looking postcards on.
Thanks so much for the visit!
Playing along with these amazing blog parties....
