Plain, nondescript....sort of uhhhhgly...a place to hold towels....

So....without further adooooo.....I took a glue stick, sticky dots...whatever I could find and started putting shades of green, turquoise (to match new bathroom paint) SCRAPBOOK paper on the back of the bookcase...readjusting shelves appropriately. I'm sure I'm not the first one to do this, and I'm sure I will do more now that I have gotten started.

What a creative "facelift!" I have dolled up old plain shelves, but I never thought about using scrapbook paper, not being a scrapbooker myself. I keep seeing all these cool ideas for using it, though, so I think I might get a few sheets and wait for inspiration.
Thanks for sharing.

It looks great Debbie. Towels for $3.00 is a great deal too! I've used scrap book paper inside my cabinets too, but it's behind the glass, to hide the stuff inside :-)
Blessings,
Marcia

It looks fantastic. Love the colores you put together. I have been thinking about doing this on some plain white bookshelves in my craft room and even bought the paper but hadnt done it yet. It's nice to hear that it goes together so quickly!
