Hello again sweet friends! We are having lovely weather here finally....with a few gusts of Santa Ana winds....the ones that knock over plants and planters, get hay in your
hair... etc!
spring time goodness....putting
away all things dark and wintry!

I just love little baby chicks....we will be getting the real ones soon. You get them in the mail of all things....you order them from a hatchery and they send them overnight in a little cushioned box...where there is room to stand but not move around too much. Then when you get the little chickies, you put them under a brooder (low to the ground heater) so they stay warm. Next they want to eat. When they are first hatched they are ok without food for a day or so because they have all that food provided to them from the inside of the shell.
The Metamorphisis change from winter and cold to
Spring!

I MADE THIS SWEET LITTLE WOOL APPLIQUE PICTURE below LAST YEAR...
I HAVE THIS LITTLE QUILT SHELF IN OUR LIVING AREA BY OUR FIREPLACE, I CHANGE IT OUT FOR EVERY SEASON....

Aren't baby chicks just precious? We usually keep a few chickens and I have always loved it when they hatched out little ones. My favorite project was when my children were small and we hatched some duck eggs in an incubator in our home. We were able to watch the hatching process through the little incubator window. Such good memories. Loved your post. Happy Pink Saturday!

Glad you are getting some quality time in with your daughter. Abby was on spring break this week, too.

Hi Debbie, what sweet little Easter decorations you have. I've got to go and download this little cross stitch chart. Love it! Thanks for the link. Your pink bird on previous post is beautiful! Do you mind me asking where you found that at? I have been looking for pink birds, I make bird nests and tussies and can never find pretty birds for them.

Oh so pretty decorations! I LOVE baby chicks and put them up to my ear to hear them chirp. Can't beat down on the farm.
I'm all for pink! It's the perfect color to counteract the winter blues. We have chickens, too, and have had many chicky adventures. Nice to meet another farmer!
