Pink Goodness for Spring!

Hello again sweet friends! We are having lovely weather here finally....with a few gusts of Santa Ana winds....the ones that knock over plants and planters, get hay in your

hair... etc!

I've been changing my house over to
spring time goodness....putting
away all things dark and wintry!

I did finish my little Easter peep Cross stitch. The free pattern is here @ http://www.prairieschooler.com/free.htm if you'd like to get the free pattern.
I just love little baby chicks....we will be getting the real ones soon. You get them in the mail of all things....you order them from a hatchery and they send them overnight in a little cushioned box...where there is room to stand but not move around too much. Then when you get the little chickies, you put them under a brooder (low to the ground heater) so they stay warm. Next they want to eat. When they are first hatched they are ok without food for a day or so because they have all that food provided to them from the inside of the shell.
The Metamorphisis change from winter and cold to

Spring!

Met. Monday!

We also have our little poopsie home from college for spring break. We are enjoying her visit immensely. Even dad suggested I take her shopping! Knock me over...he must be happy.

SPRINGTIME GOODNESS~THERE HAS TO BE PINK

HERE SOMEWHERE!

I MADE THIS SWEET LITTLE WOOL APPLIQUE PICTURE below LAST YEAR...

I HAVE THIS LITTLE QUILT SHELF IN OUR LIVING AREA BY OUR FIREPLACE, I CHANGE IT OUT FOR EVERY SEASON....

OF COURSE EASTER/SPRING MEANS LOTS OF LITTLE BIRDS, BIRDHOUSES, VINTAGE POSTCARDS, AND CANDLEHOLDERS.
The drastic change from winter....dark colors

to lighter brighter and sweeter colors.

I love the birdhouse theme too...with eggs

birds, little nests...I love

all of it!

MOSS COVERED BUNNIES FROM JOANN'S...THE LITTLE BLOOM FRAME WAS DECOUPAGED WITH SPRING SCRAPBOOK SUPPLIES AND LETTERS FROM MICHAEL'S.

SO GLAD YOU POPPED OVER FOR A VISIT!

BLESSINGS,

DEBBIE

Aren't baby chicks just precious? We usually keep a few chickens and I have always loved it when they hatched out little ones. My favorite project was when my children were small and we hatched some duck eggs in an incubator in our home. We were able to watch the hatching process through the little incubator window. Such good memories. Loved your post. Happy Pink Saturday!

What a neat experience that must be to watch the chicks hatch. You really are a lucky gal. And talented, too. I always love to see what you have been up to and I love your chick pillow. Adorable. And I see you have been decorating for spring. Everything looks lovely.

Glad you are getting some quality time in with your daughter. Abby was on spring break this week, too.

Happy Pink Saturday, Debbie!

Hi Debbie, what sweet little Easter decorations you have. I've got to go and download this little cross stitch chart. Love it! Thanks for the link. Your pink bird on previous post is beautiful! Do you mind me asking where you found that at? I have been looking for pink birds, I make bird nests and tussies and can never find pretty birds for them.
Loved all your recents posts.

Debbie, baby chicks are so cute! I've always wanted to keep a few chickens for eggs (I don't think I could do meat chickens).

I know you all are enjoying having your girl home for spring break! My daughter starts college in the fall but she'll be home the first year since it's in Atlanta (yay!)

All your spring time decorations are so pretty. Your little crossstiched pillow is adorable!

I'm all for pink! It's the perfect color to counteract the winter blues. We have chickens, too, and have had many chicky adventures. Nice to meet another farmer!
