Easter/Spring ~Table Decor

Welcome everyone to another Pink and Springy Tablescape! This one is a little shabby, a little thrifty and a little springy! I transformed my old dingy dining room chairs with white slipcovers. I basically made white slipcovers that look like white pillowcases! Pulled them over the chairs and voila...a little shabby, a little white...and a whole lot better! big smile. I use my dining room chairs as ladders, when I paint....a little paint got splattered on a couple of them! Uh oh...Ladders make me nervous...all those little rungs your supposed to stand on!

I found the birdcage at a thrift store and it was a horrid dingy brass color...it screamed "SPRAY PAINT ME!" I added shredded paper at the bottom, a little topiary, thrifty little bird I got at Michaels and it was reborn!

I found these sweet little bunny napkin holders (thrift store) and spray painted them to go with the table setting. The china was passed down to me with matching glasses from a wonderful family member on hubby's side.

I sewed the tablerunner and tablecloth from pastel spring fabrics found at Joann's fabric store.

A little shabby momma bird and her (salt and pepper)eggs and chick!

The eggs in the nest are actually little candy chocolate eggs from Target. So many pastel colors....they seem to disappear though after I took the picture....hmmmm....the problem with using edible props I guess! Big smile...man they were good!

Thanks so much for the visit!~

The table looks wonderful Debbie. I have some of that Easter fabric. I picked it up last year and still haven't done anything with it. I just pulled it out the other day. The runner is a wonderful idea.

As my mom would say (and has said) this is my kind of tablescape. A little of this and that with a bit of whimsy. I appreciate the mix of old and new. And I am learning to appreciate the power of spray-paint and a bit of pretty fabric. Thanks for sharing.

Oh your pretty pastels are reminding me of sweet little girls in smocked Easter dresses! This is very sweet -- and that birdcage was made to be white! I can't imagine it any other color. This is a sweet Spring tablescape and I also thank you for your kind visit to my Spring table as well -- we're feeling Springy all across blogland this week!
