Christmas Quilts, Stitcheries and Cross stitch

Merry Christmas! We are on the countdown....I'm not stitching anything now...I'm finishing up shopping for my mom, and wrapping stuff for her so I can finish my things. My parents are so sweet and wonderful. My mother loves to give everyone something~ She has instilled this giving spirit in all of us and our children.
Below is a cross stitch project I did finish. But it hasn't been framed yet.

This one was made a year ago....I think it needs to be a wall hanging since it is sosoooooo long!

UUUUUUHHHHH this was made in 2002!f Oh my!

This was made about 18 years ago...sorry it is blurry.

This stitchery I found at Salvation Army! I love it...it is even cuter up close!

I try to make something every year. I start in August and stitch like crazy. Usually though I finish the project AFTER Christmas!

Below is my favorite quilt I ever made using a Thimbleberries pattern.

You have got to realize when you are my age (almost 50~I was born on leap year! so I'm really 12) you have been doing projects for years, collecting things for years and you realize you need to start giving things to your kids to start their Christmas collections!
Various old and tattered and vintage quilts! I love red and white quilts.
Thanks so much for coming by! I love all the visiting!
Tomorrow I will post my winter wonderland and silver decorations for Christmas!

Give yourself a Christmas hug from me!

You know I love your cross stitch projects. I remember when you posted about the piece you just finished...it inspired me to get out a set of 3 mittens with stamped cross stitch on them. Well, I almost finished the 1st one and since they are all on one peice of fabric, I couldn't cut it out and stuff it. My motto is, Christmas will come again before we know it!! ;-) Only I will start earlier! So...thanks for the great inspiration, my sweet friend!

And that beautiful quilt. Funny, I always loved red and white quilts, too! I had one that needed some repairing for the longest time and I finally gave up. I wish I still had it, I have the patience now. And hey, leap year baby, shhhh...I will be 50 in February too!! lol!!

Merry Christmas, Debbie!!
