Actually I am thinking about Thanksgiving while looking through this little cookbook by Gooseberry Patch. There are some great recipes in here!
This week has been a very rough week....and once again I am determined to hold steady on the ship of life as it is tossed and turned beyond my control.
At the beginning of the week we got word that my husband's incredible sister who is my age had a massive heart attack. He and his parent rushed to be with her up in the N. part of the state.
His parents decided to stay with her after her open heart surgery to take care of her.....so my hubby left and came home (we are 9 hours away). The next day my husband said he had a horrible feeling about leaving his parents there...away from all of us....that night after he left...his father had a heart attack and had to be put in the hospital~
Now my hubby and 2 of his sisters are up there with both heart attack patients.
Our world has been rocked....and we are obviously wondering what lies ahead.
I believe God is good, and does not take storms away but helps us weather the storm, also helps us navigate through the storm.
I am holding steady...praying....and holding steady.
When I am stressed I stitch, or hand sew....somehow it does seem to let the stress flow out of me....
I have no pattern, I started stitching little squares and then cutting tiny little wool pieces into Christmas things....a little wool cap, candy cane, the beginning of a cross stitch wreath...
I'm not sure how it will finish, but I am already liking the possibilities....
Thank you for your prayers,
"For He will give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways." Psalm 91:11
