Feisty DIY

I come from a family where woman are FEISTY (ok mouthy...maybe opinionated) and they do projects around the HOUSE! If I can chase sheep and cows around the barn....then I can certainly use a hand saw (the first power tool) ! BUWWWAHAHAHAHAHA!
These are the kind of women joining in DIY day over here at Kimba's blog!

I needed more space in my cupboards in the laundry room. Those shelves hold farm tools no more! I emptied them out and proceeded to add more shelves..cut some wood...used a BIG HAMMER....and went to work!

Hey if you can put make up on, while on the phone, and braiding your daughter's hair, while signing a permission slip... then YOU can do this project!

I hammered little strips of wood horizontally on the sides of the cupboard (measuring first where the strips should go) then set the wood shelves on top of them. This was how the builder made shelves in my pantry...so I just copied (sort of) what he did!
Next I folded things, my least favorite job....napkins, table runners, table cloths...and stuck them in old baskets...

Now there is a place for all my Tablescape goodies that I use often.
Next I'm headed to the barn! We are going to get some chickens, sheep and cows organized in their little 'Barn Cottage'!
Hahaha...this should prove interesting....they usually end up chasing me!
Blessings,
Debbie

Debbie,
Great job organizing! I totally agree with you...women can do it all! I have been using my husband's power tools a lot lately, and I have to admit...it's addictive! He's not liking the sharing part! :)
Thanks for sharing,
Traci

I love, love, love this. I never think of doing these things on my own. I'm glad all of you creative blogging ladies give me ideas.

We drove from the high desert to Visalia (through Tehachapi) and back this weekend, and passed alot of farmland and I thought about your farm and wondered if it was somewhere along this route. It was wonderful weather.
Blessings,
Marcia

Great job Debbie! Did you see the pile of barnwood I brought home to SC from PA? I wish you were here to help me create some cool things.
