DIY Decoupage Bonanza!

Hello again! Hey aren't you lovin' fall right about now. It is cooler weather here in S. California and I love it. We haven't had to build a fire yet...but I can't wait till we do!

For my big DIY project (haha) I got out paper, scissors, glue, decoupage liquid (Modge Podge) and acted like a happy 5 year old who snuck into her mom's craft room! I'm playing along with DIY
@ Kimba's....check out the amazing ideas at her blog @http://asoftplacetoland-kimba.blogspot.com/

paper, letters, scissors...woohoo!
I found these black and white note cards at Michael's in the $1.00 bin. Woohoo. I immediately sensed a blog craft in the making!!!! I cut circles (with a circle punch), inked the edges and decoupaged them onto the cards...let them dry....then added a square on top of the circle...ending up with the letters.

I ended up inking the cute letters because they competed too much with the background papers...so I darkened them a bit! So first
I used the card as the background...
Added the circle shapes...
then I added a square shape...
letters...spelling 'home'
used a hole punch in the corners to connect the cards to each other with ribbon...I just tied the cards together ending up with little bows and voila!

Meet Patty Pumpkin (Marshall's $6.99...go get one)...I love her!

Wait I'm not done! I found a cheap cutting board at the thrift store, spray painted her black (of course) and then proceeded to decoupage the front of it.

NOW, we are ready for Trick or Treaters!
