Living room change...

Hey everyone! What did you do over the weekend? I had a few (ok several) projects on my mind...got up early...and happily puttered away redoing, some things in my living area. I have a quilt rack/shelf that I hang seasonal quilts on and I put away my summer things, red white and blue, Americana and summery items. I love the richness of fall colors. I am also absolutely addicted to quilt cottons in fall shades. I get wobbly, weak in the knees, goose bumps all over....just looking at fabric....of any shade...but especially fall colors.
This was a quick quilt I zipped up just using strips of fabric I had....I just wanted something on the wall and this was the quickest quilt I knew how to make....sewing straight lines are my cup of tea! Did I ever mention I sewed over my finger once? Had to go to the Dr. to get the broken off needle pulled out.....ouchymama!

I bought the stitchery because I loved it so much, and loved the idea of a pie safe as the pattern.

Thanks for the visit neighbor!

Oh Debbie, honey you are so talented. I cannot believe you just zipped that quilt up. My gosh it is so gorgeous. I have been wanting one for the back of my dark brown leather couch to give it a pop of color with reds and browns. I have been contemplately trying, but always back out. How can it be so simple as you say? It looks to beautiful to be easy sewing strips. Your shelf is just darling. I too love the pie safe and the buttons just really set it off. I also love the can of happiness. How beautiful is that? Love it. You so inspire me to try. Thanks for sharing. I too, was busy over the weekend with a can of paint. Stop by and see. Country hugs sweetie, Sherry

Good grief. I've made quilts before and there is no one I've ever done one in one day or even a week. It is gorgeous. I love the shelf arrangement too. It does all look so like fall. Hugs, Marty

You have some great things going on there Debbie! I like the pie safe stitchery picture. So simple and cute. Your quilt is fabulous. How nice to be able to just 'zip up' a quilt, how I envy you! Not crazy about the needle in the finger, painful probably wasn' the word!

Wishing you a happy week! :-)

The quilt you made is lovely!! I too get week in the knees looking at harvest colors of fabrics or in pictures. I want to jump in and become part of the colors, they're just so inviting! :) Weird, huh?
Your home is beautiful and festive, as usual, Debbie.
