Thrifty goodies....I found this great frame for .50 cents. Woohoo!!!! I also found the red shelf and vase for a couple dollars as well.

Next I cross stitched a kitchen motif with a cute little oven in it and then framed it with this frame.

Now the funny story!
She taught my hubby how to raise and take care of chickens. The beginning of his illustrious farming career. He wanted to know why the eggs weren't hatching, and why she brought them inside(they needed a rooster and there was no rooster to fertilize them). So she told him they needed to be fertilized. After she went inside, he got some fertilizer(for plants) out of the shed and shoveled some on. He said he might have made a big mess and that was the reason he got a 'spankin' and a 'talking to.' hahahaha
Thanks for visiting.

Hi Debbie! Love the frame, and love the cross stitch. Together on your favorite shelf, they look just perfect! ~tina
Love the story! I was a City girl growing up. I went at the age of about 24 to a farm with some friends and my husband. We saw the chickens. They had a big coop and the chickens were laying eggs like crazy. Now I knew to have babies they had to be fertilized...but I thought the chicken to have an egg, had to have had sex! I didn't know they did that without it! Of course, I didn't keep this question to myself! Needless to say, the chicken coop was filled with hillarious laughter...in fact, I think I remember the owner having to leave folder over to try to bring himself back to composure!
Your little stove cross stitch is so cute...you just whipped that baby out I take it!!
