Pink, Watermelon...99cents

You know me I love watermelon! So when I saw these cute little bowls for .99 a piece I grabbed them. I love to be able to serve little things here and there with matching watermelon pieces. However I don't really have an entire set of anything...just a hodge podge...but I'm a hodge podge kind of gal. Most women I think are....when you have to be resourceful...use your head to put things together....
Most women create out of want or necessity! "I want to make that" or "I've got to do this project." And voila, quilts are made, houses are decorated, rooms are painted, walls are painted, diapers are changed with one hand...beauty is created and we bloggers have fits over the cuteness we see on other blogs!

Ok I went a little nuts over the watermelon thing....

Hope you come back for another visit soon! Be sure to visit Bev @ http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/ for Pink Saturday goodness!
Blessings,
Debbie

I don't like the taste of watermelon but I like the way the fruit looks! You do such cute things with watermelon that it makes me want to run out and find some to decorate with too! Cindy

In a nearby small town where watermelon is a crop they celebrate a Watermelon Thump Festival each summer. There is even a Watermelon queen, for today you are it! Fab post.

Oh Debbie!
Happy Pink Saturday honey. I so love this watermelon post. You did not go overboard, you just have a passion for what you love. I too love watermelon, it always looks so fresh and happy. Love the little pieces that you have in the black and white vase. That is just darling. I also noticed you had what looked like a wooden planter or basket in the shape of a watermelon. So sweet. I am a cherry gal. I love cherry things. So I know how it is to have a passion for a fruit. Have a wonderful day, and please stop by and say hi. I would so love to have you visit. Country hugs, Sherry

Debbie,
Good afternoon to you in southern CA all the way from central VT. I always do a little bit of pink Saturday on Sunday and I am always blessed when the Lord leads me to chat with a believer. Hope you are having a blessed day! I do love your watermelon motif and especially the tablescape. Also love the story about hubby and the fertilizer. Guys can be soo literal even when they are just lads!Blessings to You and Yours! Meg
