Hi again! I am lovin' decoupaging! I don't know about you but I have some scrapbook paper laying around and decided to decoupage some frames to match a few cross stitching projects I have finished. The projects are small and don't require expensive matting and framing. I found the scrapbook paper I liked.....matted (with scotch tape on the back) the project I have finished and then inserted it into the frame that was unfinished. I just rubbed on the decoupage and put the paper on top, smoothing it as I went along....

Set it outside in the baking sun (102 here in sunny S. Calif), it dried oh in 10 minutes...
then I inked the edges with an ink pad...

Debbie, What a great idea for using extra scrapbooking paper. I have quite a bit of extra now that I exclusively do digital scrapbooking. All the paper is so cute though that I've been trying to think of ways to put it to good use. Now I'm thinking I could use it on some empty frames I have....maybe some cute Christmas presents...who knows! Thanks for the tip.
Elaine :)
Love it! Very fresh!

How perfect and how cute. I love it. What a great idea to use the extra scrapbook paper, and polks dots are always one of my favorites. Hugs, Marty
Love it! I have used scrapbook paper on a couple frams. Such a good way to spruce them up a little!

Debbie...this is adorable! I love it! This would be a great Met Monday post! I think I need to learn how to decoupage...very cool! susan
Hi Debbie! You've really put this together beautifully! Love the use of scrapbooking paper too! I'm SURE I'll be putting that idea to use before too long! Love that you could set it in the sun for 10 minutes.. but I'm afraid that the sun in the "Great Northeast" won't bake/dry anything quite so quickly. Our big heatwaves, THIS summer, are only hitting high 80's.. So actually, I haven't even needed to run the AC this year!... Anyways, LOVE the cute little bumble bee too!.. Hope you had a great weekend! ~tina
Debbie,
I love the frame you made and the sampler. For some reason I can't print the directions though. Could you possibly send them to me? My son was a Seabee in the Navy for 7 years and I think this would make a great Christmas present for him.
Hugs,
Gretchen

Wow 102!!! I'm dying when it's in the 90's around here!
I love using scrapbook paper (and I don't scrapbook)! Your frame came out so cute!

Thank you for stopping by my blog. I think your frames came out great, and I too have heaps of unused scrapbook paper.
Very cute. Loving the dots.
