Pink Saturday & Clothespin dress in the Laundry Room

Edited to add: I accidentally posted this too early...I'm packing and getting ready to take daughter to college and I am so discombuberated (sp?) don't know if I'm coming or going...so please forgive my blogging bumbleheadedness!

Hey everyone, welcome to Pink Saturday(what day is it?) with our hostess Beverly @ http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/! Here is a little clothespin dress in my laundry room. I have made a couple of these and I love them. I found the pattern here http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/little_dress_clothespin_bag You basically make a little doll dress with the opening in front, sew it up all around the sleeves, side and hem...and then fill it with clothes pins. You can make it out of homespun or dark plaid for a prim look, light blue or white batiste (sort of light airy and see through fabric) for a beachy look, whatever your laundry room colors are....

I made this one out of beautiful rose fabric with a pink collar and little vintage buttons...I love how it has turned out.

little clothespins in an apothecary jar...

This reminds me of something Susan Branch might do...have you seen her sweet books, with beautiful pictures!!!! I love them!

Debbie,
I love the little clothespin dress :) I need to make a new bag. Mine was something I came up with on my own really quickly and it works but not quite the way I want. I found a free pattern that was shared on another blog but I just haven't had the sewing machine out all summer...terrible, right?!

Have a great day :)

Hi Debbie, My laundry room is begging me to do something pretty with it, and I think this would be perfect, including the shelf with the bunnies! It's lovely, and you're a great seamstress! Happy Pink Saturday! I have a great little lady to post tomorrow, so drop by to see her!

OMG, love it!! Thanks for the idea. My mother-in-law still hangs her laundry out on the farm in North Carolina. She'd love a little cutie like this but would never take the trouble for herself. I'll have to do it for her Sept. b-day.

I hope you will stop to my blog to see the flags I made! I had such a fun time with them, that I'm still thinking of doing MORE! Thanks for the tutorial! Happy Pink Saturday! ~tina

I know I sound like a broken record but it's raining and cold again this weekend in Michigan. Summer, sadly, may never make it north so ♥Pink Saturday♥ is one of the bright spots in my day! Thanks so much for participating this week and giving me a little lift out of the clouds☺

That little clothes pin dress is cute. Do they still make clothes pins? lol. I haven't used them for years.
How exciting to have your daughter going off to college. Expensive though.
