This is just one of the wonderful things my hubby cooked for us for Mother's day! Oh my! It is an angel food cake, hollowed out and filled with Cool Whip, and sugared strawberries!

He cut a slice for my mother and I and I thought I felt a shiver up and down my spine....

Oh take a bite and you will understand!

This was a taste of heaven right in my dining room. This man can cook!

I just had to steal a little more Cool Whip! Yep, it was screaming to be put in my coffee!

OOOhhhhh la la! I'm a happy woman!
He cut the top of the cake off, cut a tunnel of sorts in the cake filled it with the strawberry mixture, put the top back on and then covered it with Cool Whip.
I wanted some for breakfast and darn if it isn't gone!
Blessings,
Debbie
PS...I'm wearing my loose pants today...does that tell you anything?

Wow~ That looks wonderful. We had our first experience with homemade whip cream yesterday. We usually buy the kind in a can, but it melts sooooo fast! I told DD we should try to make the real kind using the little carton of organic heavy whipping cream. She did it in the mixer and it came out beautiful....but....We didn't realize you should add some sweetner to it. It was actually perfect with the crepes she made, with NO sugar added to it!

P.S. When I was a kid, I loved to eat frozen cool whip, like ice cream!
Oh that dessert looks like a slice of heaven! What a sweetie your hubby is.
So glad you had a nice Mother's Day.

I wish my husband could cook because I would hand him that recipe for starters. Oh, yummo! And a little dollop of Cool Whip in the coffee too? Why not??!
