PINK SATURDAY!

Welcome everyone to another Pink Saturday and our sweet hostess Beverly @ http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/. I'm so glad you stopped by.
For those of you who have followed my blog you know I am staying at my mom's most of the time since she had surgery. Hubby goes home to do chores at our farm then comes back and we all stay at 'grandma's house'...

We brought our sheep with us to graze on her lower fenced in yard. They love it.

I decorated her table (will post on thursday's tablescape with Susan@http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/) but here is a little foretaste.
I made this little bird and eggs decoration for her dining room table.

But while we were gone to grandma's someone was busy at our house and poisoned our wonderful labs. My honey got home with our daughter and found them. It was so sad. The neighbors across the street found their two dogs dead as well. I am sooo very sad. It was a terrible thing to find and nothing to do to solve it or make it right.Hubby called the sheriff and took the dogs to the vet for an autopsy. But get this, my husband found the bowl...with the bacon grease mixed with the remains of gopher poison. So it looks like we may know who did it. We live out in the country, and have known all of our neighbors for years....but this happened to be renters nearby. We are terribly sad and will be getting some puppies soon. We just bred our chocolate (Bali) with a female, and thankfully will get a puppy from this litter. I am thankful for that little blessing.
Sorry to cast a sad moment but I wanted to thank all of you who have left the sweetest comments to me all week. This happened two days ago, and I was so grateful for kind neighbors (you) and your wonderful words earlier this week. You never know what your words mean to people or what they are actually going through....so I want to thank you!
Blessings,
Debbie

Oh I am so sad that someone poisoned your beautiful dogs. I can't even fathom cruelty like that! I do hope that somehow they will have to pay for their actions.

Your sheep do look quite content grazing there and it looks like it is going to be quite the cute little tablescape with those adorable chickies and eggs.

Oh this is just horrible...I saw the first picture of that beautiful animal and showed my husband and said it looked just like our old dog Sissy....a Golden. then I read your post. Who would do that to two beautiful animals....the worst thing in the world is finding a dead pet...My other Golden died in her sleep at 5 years old after a neighbor of ours threatend to harm her if she didn't stop barking....we never had an autopsy but hours before she died she was acting funny...I will never forget waking up and finding her in the morning...My thoughts are with you....I hope they put the person that did this in jail for a very long time...

I cannot even fathom the devastation your husband must have felt when he found the dogs. Why would someone do that?

These are sick, sick people who would do such a thing. Please contact your local law enforcement and find out who the sociopath who did this is. No animal is safe in your community until this depraved person is held accountable. I have a big lump in my throat right now as I gaze upon your two departed friends.

Your sheep are beautiful. Looks a a photo for a scripture...the Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want...

You made these little fluffy peeps? Oh, I can't wait til Thursday.
Again, Debbie, my heart goes out to you and your sweet family. I'm so sorry!

My heart sunk when I read that someone had murdered your dogs. I can't imagine the heartbreak I would feel if someone touched my animals in anything other than a positive way. My heart goes out to you. I am so, so sorry. I hate to say this but if someone hurt Freyja or Scout like that, I'd rip their heart out with my bare hands and feed it to the pigs.

Oh if this isn't the saddest thing to hear about. I am a lover of animals dogs especially and to hear that there are people out there who would do such a mean and cruel things well, that just about does it for me...my beloved Josie passed away last July and I grieved and still grieve for her. She was 12 and a lab/retriever mix a beautiful dog. So I can only imagine the sorrow you must be feeling at the loss of your sweet pets.

My heart goes out to the both of you and I hope if you do know who did this, you will see that somehow, someway the proper authorities know about it!!

May God Bless You

Kris

I'd wish you a happy pink Saturday but it just doesn't feel very "pink".

Oh,no. This is terrible! I cannot imagine how terrible you must feel. How can someone be so deliberately cruel? I hope whoever did it is prosecuted and made to pay for this terrible deed. Please contact your local police, along with your neighbors.

Take care.

Oh, my goodness, how sad, I just hope that somehow those people are brought to justice!!! Even if they aren't I'm a firm believer in "what goes around, comes around" and I hope He sees to it. I just don't understand how someone could hurt a innocent animal.
I'm so happy though that you will get one of the puppies:)
