Welcome to Tablescape Thursday! Be sure to check out Susan @ http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/ for some glorious Tablescapes.
I wanted to share with you some of my most prized china. My husband's grandmother handpainted this white china from Bavaria. She painted us 8 servings for our wedding and then would give us a serving piece every anniversary till she passed away. The woman was very feisty and opinionated and gave me fits when I first married her number 1 grandson. She was not sure I was good enough. But she would wink at me as well as if her feisty comments were just for fun! Anyhoo!
She was amazing at painting beautiful roses. All the girls in my hubby's family have china dishes with roses in red, or gold, deep red and coral, and then shades of pink. Everyone's set of dishes is a different color from the rest.
Here is a close up of her lovely handiwork.
The one thing that has broken over the 50 years of marriage (ok only 28 sometimes feels like 50) was the creamer. Boo hoo.
I set the table with a tablecloth from Target-the Shabby Chic collection with little roses all over it.
Once again thank you so much for the wonderful visit!
