Precious

Hello everyone! I have been busy taking care of my mom who bless her heart has been in the hospital and just came home....her leg replacement---dislocated! Ouch, it was horrible hearing her cry and be so upset. But I am so thankful to God that her surgery and the outcome were all very successful. My parents love each other, kiss each other, fuss, kiss some more...they've been married 51 years. Very very precious. There isn't anything I would not do for either of them. So I am staying with them for awhile...taking care of them. I will probably redecorate my mom's house while I am here!

Right before the hospital ordeal~ I visited one of my favorite thrift stores and found these frames....I'm going to paint them pastel probably and put in some spring vintage pictures...or something that is springy. I tend to have a lot of fall and Christmas stuff and very little lighter colored things that are cheery and spring related. Chicken decor does not always lend to pastel or lighter colors...you know barn/farm chic?

Next I found this stool...$3.00~happy dance!

Last I found this little crate box~another happy dance~hubby thinks I am a little 'loopy'...his word for a farm animal that isn't acting right! Hahaha
All this farm lingo....
Sometimes he even uses this farm lingo to describe people at church...that are too loud, aren't dressed right...obnoxious...I won't tell you the words he uses (they are interesting though) I grew up in church so I told him to snap out of it and just deal with it! Big smile....HE likes his farm animals because they don't talk back to him!
I guess I might be a little mouthy...feisty...opinionated....
I like to think of myself as COLORFUL!
BIG SMILE!
Blessings,
Debbie
PS...my birthday was over the weekend...it was but it wasn't...I'm a leap year birthday babe...so no birthday day for me...but my hubby took me shopping to Joann's! Woohoo...I'm a new woman and I am 49! Not to worry...I'll be 49 for a very long time! Hahaha

Happy Birthday to you. My family thinks I'm a bit "loopy" too at times with the things that I bring home or enjoy! :) I visit your blog often but don't post comments much. I love to see what you're working on and ways of adding to your home.

Good morning Debbie ~ Congrate on turning 49. I am 52 and thinking seriously that I should stop having birthdays....

My favorite part of your post was the photo of your mother's hands. Beyond beautiful.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEBBIE!!!! That would be confusing being a leap year baby.
I hope your mom recovers quickly and without a lot of pain. Is she doing physical therapy? My mom had two hip replacements and a knee replacement in her later years. Very hard to recover from.
So sweet that you can be there to help.
I got a laugh out of the farm lingo your hubby uses. Cute!!
