Tablescape Tuesday-woohoo

It's another Tablescape Tuesday---somewhere someone is eating! It is dinnertime somewhere! I'd like some real food today. When you visit all these bloggers and see their wonderful tablesettings...I'm thinking "but what about the food?" It's like visiting your neighbor at suppertime, but you never get to sit down and eat!!!!
Our farmhouse has seen alot of company, alot of meals fixed and alot of dishes washed! The darker green glass dishes are so old (keep in mind I've been married 28 years...cough cough...madly in love....in love and mad....cough cough)

anyhoo...the green dishes are so old I don't remember where I bought them! This is a darlin' little Mary Englebreit teapot....on top of a table runner I made that has little cherries on it as well.
This rooster has followed me everywhere, along with these eggs. I have real ones in the fridge...we live on a Chicken ranch...Rhode Island Red chickens that lay brown eggs. Did you know that you wash the eggs before refrigerating them...at least I do because the eggs are usually dirty...we let them cool to room temp. and then refrigerate them. If you buy eggs from the store and they float in water...throw them out! They are old and filled with air...so they float, not good. We sell our eggs and I keep all the cracked ones. I usually bake with our older eggs and use the fresh ones for breakfast.
This guy would run scared in the real chicken pen...he looks tough though.
This wonderful egg plate was passed down to us by another grandma...if she would have only known her granddaughter by marriage loves chickens too. It makes me want to pass down things that are of value...hopefully....it will be of value to our kids one day. I told my daughter 'don't ever sell our quilts' we have some from her great grandmother that are amazing. They are worth gold to me.
These sweet little vintage chickens and egg basket make my heart swoon. I have a thing for miniatures!

This is a vintage black iron napkin holder.

Thank you so much for your visit! Make sure you visit Susan @ http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/ and see all the glorious tablescapes!
Blessings,
Debbie
