Peaceful life

A peaceful place....I sit next to this little table, with a redwork tablecloth, and little bird/nest items, in the mornings with my coffee and Bible. I try to get my day going right first thing (at 4:45 am), yes things are blurry that time of the morning! I'd rather get up at the crack of noon not the crack of dawn!

Julia @http://hookedonhouses.net/2009/01/08/hooked-on-fridays-martha-stewarts-glass-chandelier/ is having everyone show what they are hooked on! I am actually showing this month being hooked on organizing my home and making it more peaceful....this is where Melissa comes in at The Inspired Room....http://theinspiredroom.net/

What are you hooked on? Being peaceful? Organized? Getting your list of things to do done? Shoes? (Big smile)

"A Peaceful life begins with a Peaceful Mind." This was a wonderful statement by Joyce Meyers....I am working this year on having a peaceful home, peaceful surroundings, a peaceful closet(?) yes a closet I can look into and not stress out. You know the feeling... looking for something, not knowing where it is, getting on your knees (which I hate) to find that shoe, belt, top...there it is...in the deepest recesses of your closet.
Or...how about that important paper your sweet hubby, kids, relative asks for and you have NO idea where it is....
I have been making (a lot ) of file folders to put those precious papers in as well as a table of contents (alphabetized) to find the paper I just filed!

Melissa@http://theinspiredroom.net/ is posting ideas for "A beautiful Life". What a wonderful idea! We can all spray paint, redo things, cook, but really making our home a Sanctuary and Peaceful place?...there are wonderful ideas here that we can all use to make things a little more peaceful! I love this and I want this!
There is a lot of tweaking and rearranging and organizing going on here. Do you ever get done organizing? I often wonder!

Have a blessed Day!
Debbie

Debbie, when I click on the link to the inspiredroom.net it just takes me to emailing her. Can you list her blog link on here so I can look there? Thanks. Cindy

I don't think it's possible to done organizing! What would we do then?
I love your thoughts on being peaceful! I really do try to set up my surroundings to help with this. I can't feel peace in a mess even though I know we should feel it in all circumstances! I'm working on this area too!

Hi Debbie~What a wonderfully peaceful post!
My peaceful place is my kitchen...when the counters are clean, there are no dishes in the sink, the stove is sparkling clean, with the glow of my silicone bulbs all aglow or the flicker of the flame of a candle!
Ahhhh sweet serenity!
Have a great weekend!

Debbie...your pictures just look peaceful to me. It looks like you are doing a wonderful job on the organizing aspect of your home. I have got to get in gear and do some of it myself. Some of my goals this year are to organize and de-clutter....let go of that paper that I always think I "might" need this....it is going to be in the trash-ola (actually in the shred-ola)!!

Loved your post here. I am NEVER done with organizing. I sometimes wonder if I ever will. I'm getting ideas from the way you do things though.
