Organizing Roundup! Yippeeee!

I want to encourage you to join in on the organizing fun! Over @ http://orgjunkie.com/ there is a group where women volunteer...no one is forced to actually organize their homes because they WANT to! I love looking at the before and afters....maybe if I look hard enough I can figure out what to do with things in my home.
This first picture is a file I recovered to keep my house payment stubs in, yesterday I did a tutorial on covering file folders to make them pretty so that I would WANT to file! Be sure to scroll down and take a quick look.

Next I recovered an oatmeal canister...I'm not done with it, but I am going to keep extra computer cords in it, also a pen and pencil holder. My living room has a lot of red and white quilts in it so the red and white check is a little bit of a them going on.

Here is the first mess in the living room, this cabinet that I found in a consignment store houses printers, files and whatever my kids shove in there! The white basket holds printer paper, and photo paper, etc.

This is my coffee table from Christmas, the quilt below was handmade by my grandmother and aunt. The applique is all done by hand.
I have no computer desk so this is a make do...with a sofa table and files underneath...
I cleared the clutter off the couches-ipods, computer cords, phone plug ins, ear phones...anything with a cord, you name it, it was on my couch!
Next I cleared out the cabinet, completely emptied it out...wow...
I can't believe this picture doesn't show the surface-It is COMPLETELY CLEANED OFF and my picture doesn't show the after...I'm such a knucklehead!
Anyhow, thanks so much for stopping by, there is more organizing to be done and I'm ready for the next organizing round up!
Blessings,
Debbie

Great job already doing all that organizing. I want to tackle one of my kitchen cabinets that has had stuff just thrown in it. I am not quite as ambitious as you though! I will get around to it!

I think a lot of us blogging women think alike! My mom called me this morning and said, "What are you doing?" I told her, "organizing!" She replied, " you are always organizing!"

Maybe some day everything will actually be in it's place and stay there! NAHHHHHHH!

I'm back from a little break from blogging. I wanted to come right over and say thank you for your comments and prayers for our Granddaughter. She is quite the little miracle. We were so busy we didn't get Newpaper articles from the day she was born but I am going to order the newspapers from the date she was born and a few days after like you suggested! Thanks so much Debbie!
Have a blessed new year,
Robin~♥

Debbie,

I've been doing the same thing...organizing. Not with the flair that you have for it though. I think your files are so pretty and I may try some of your ideas.

Great job!
