joke of the day:
Did you know that a cod fish can lay thousands of eggs in one day-never say a word! But a chicken lays one egg-and cackles all day about it! My parents taught me that it is better to be a cod fish!

The little white chicken is a vintage ceramic chicken from my husbands great grandmother. I have some wonderful chicken items passed down from generations before me....and it has

gotten me thinking, what I will pass down to my family members...

Hopefully they will enjoy the chicken collection started by my hubby's great grandmother that has been carried on by us...including real chickens!
Let the cackling begin!
Blessings,
Debbie
PS...I had a wonderful time this weekend with a fellow blogger, we discussed favorite posts, ideas, great women we have gotten to meet online!!!

Being a codfish is best but sometimes a gal just has to cackle. I love all your chicken stuff. I have lots in my kitchen. I really enjoy your blog. Janis

Love your chicken collection, especially the fact that it was started and handed down to you from your hubby's great grandmother! That makes it so special!

I love the things from my grandma. I have a wooden spoon that was hers and everytime I use it I think of her. I agree, those chickens can be noisy. I'd rather be a codfish too. Mimi
